Maybe that poster is legit then.....cos efests have now made them strong rumours for pukkelpop and Oxygen which we had shot down earlier?

I think theyre a cert for Reading anyway legit poster or not

Yeah, it can't be because of this poster. If this was bullshit Neil would have dismissed it by now. :P

What may be false, however, is them playing the Friday at Reading. I think the only band to ever headline the Friday whose size can be compared to Green Day's was Oasis way back in 2000.

Didn't Rage headline Friday in 2008?

And that was cus Metallica, simialr act headlined Sunday

Could be Green Day and Blink both headlining but Blink are exclusive and just reformed so get Sunday billing but Green Day doing UK shows and just done huge UK arena tour so get Friday booking?

I think the line-up may look something like this:

FRIDAY

Green Day

Blink 182

Pendulum

Biffy Clyro

SATURDAY

Kasabian

Franz Ferdinand

Dizzee Rascal

Paramore

SUNDAY

R.E.M.

The Strokes

Elbow

The Cribs

Course they are. Headlining, definitely not but going by the size of venues they played on their last UK tour coupled with them headlining the Other Stage at Glasto this year I'd say they're roughly a similar size to Bloc Party, who we all know are capable of playing second from top at R/L! :P

Bloc Party played 2 club topurs and sold them out straight away, like within 10 minutes

Franz couldn't sell out half the tour.

You have to face it UK indie bands they start strong get to headlining status or near enough and then fall and stay down, happens to them all

Supergrass

Manics

Travis

The Charlatans

Kula Shaker

Dodgy

Lightning Seeds

Ash

I could go on, theres been exceptions Blur and Oasis

The Verve would have probably fallen too if they hadn't split and got back together.

Same goes for Pulp, they were already falling before they split

Franz could probably be 2nd top, but thats not to say that they should be. The Reading and Leeds fests are slowly getting worse IMO, too many bands in positions they don't deserve to be in.
