The Cribs to headline Other Stage Friday ?

Don't think the Cribs are big enough to headline Other but really hope they play somewhere. They've headlined JP a couple of years ago and it was pretty empty :P but maybe with bigger profile this time round that'd be a great slot for them? Or 2nd/3rd Other stage?

I was there too - it was onlyabout 1/3 full BUT (big but) the people who were in there were absolutely loving it - including us. We started watching another headliner (I forget who!) but ame to Cribs about halfway thru and were able to walk to the front few rows where it was jumping.

Small crowd but a fervent one :P

They're definitely not big enough - they need something big to split the crowd.

They're also one of the most shambolic live bands I've ever seen.

Shambolic in an intimate setting = seems passionate and intense

Shambolic on a big outdoor stage = makes you look like muppets

I too had the memory of it being quite full, must have been down the front with you! We started watching the enemy on the other stage but left to get a good spot for the cribs. I thought it was a great show.

I though they might headline the other stage but after the U2 announcement the goal posts have been moved and i dont think they'd be big enough to draw enough of the crowd away. Maybe they'd play second. As has been already mentioned, they work better at an indoor venue so maybe they'd headline the JP again.

    • As first timers last year the whole set-up blew our mind with the fire on the Sunday, it seemed you could get too close and I didn’t like dodging falling embers!
    • I'd be absolutely amazed if they went without a female headliner.
