Saw the Ballet on Jonathon Ross recently. You've got to admit the guy can sing. I would like to see them just to prove my theory that that bloke from Eastenders doesn't really play the bass. Is it just me?

The Jam started out as a punk band back in the day, but the Mod tag kicked in and they're early stuff shows that.

If they play....I won't be there....but they were popular for some Wet Wet Wet style obscure reason, so I would think 1st or 2nd on the Pyramid would be logical - so early PM - slot on Sat or Sun would be likely.

Maybe...at a push....the "Madness" slot late afternoon.

And i don't think their collecrtive ego would accept a non-Pyramid place.....and I don't think they play "well enough" for jazz stage anyway - not sure what i mean by that....just that ( rolf aside - and he should have been pyramid) that stage seems to have a more muso feel..... real, actual musicians, not just haircuts with a few catchy hooks.

So, give them the Status Quo slot from last year.....just make sure there are enough buckets around to cope with the involuntairy vomitting that any "innocents" caught in the crossfire will no doubt suffer.

But anyway, there's a dance village for dance music. Jazzworld is more than just dance music.

Not in the least - they're very much a Jazzworld act (and have played it before), in the way that SB are very much NOT a Jazzworld act.

I could take the piss here and say "I'm really not too surprised to see a recent convert from Reading Leeds have little idea of music". But I'll resist.

On the local radio station they have just said that Spandau Ballet will be playing the festivals. Chances are now looking quite likely. Where they play.I wouldnt have thought headline maybe 1 below headline?.
