im sorry but iv never got the radio head thing :-( maybe i dont have enough gcse's .

the stones headlining would be great from my point of view its taken me 10 years to get my mum and dad to glasto and they are one of my mum's fave bands . . bowie would be great i think but im far more excited about the foo's rumor ... omg headline act fri or sat night that would be amazing ..

i know there are loads of muso's that come on this site but really would the like's of madona or take that be that bad . im not into either but they would both make great acts on the pyramid stage headliners or not .. i carnt be the only one that thinks coldplay radiohead head lining would be a bit stale ?

what about the sunday afternoon slot, much more important! Im going for Cliff, esp after the rumours of his death that circulate every year, we owe it to him. And he's touring just before.

Oh, and stereophonics are in 'secret' talks about appearing, obv not headlining though!!

Pavement have reformed............

i have to say i was a little disappointed with radiohead at leeds this year.

coldplay would be good, they're not the best band ever but have some brilliant sigles and i have never seen them. bowie would be the greatest thing ever. stone roses.....meh, some good choons, some not so good. i'd watch them all though!

as for foo fighters....i've seen them about 4 times. they are always pretty good, not amazing.

someone mentioned stereophonics.....i saw them on saturday at cardiff castle and i was surprised how good they were. it was amazing! be happy to see them on the bill, not headline though.

No right answer really, although I personally dont understand how people are not moved by Radiohead's music.

Also I dont think you have to dance and shout to enjoy a live act. Radiohead was a great way to end Reading this year, although they did play a more hits-orientated set than they did at Leeds so maybe the crowd was more responsive down saaf

Russycarps:

if I remember rightly you nearly had a mental breakdown on here last year because you perceived the headliners to be too old, and not catering to the yoof. Why are bowie and the stones all of a sudden acceptable? just because you personally like them?

you reveal yourself to be an enormous hypocrite.

It's been a pleasure unmasking you.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
