I know it sounds good and might be right (by chance), but these guys are no better than Piers Corbyn. They're basically chucking out all existing meteorological knowledge and replacing it with very vague long range predictions which sometimes happen to be true. They refuse to say how their methods work and they have 3-5 staff working on this. We have more here!

I'm trying really hard not to rant. I know it looks nice and German, but this is actually Liechtenstein - looks quite German, but is tiny and of no significance.

As I have previously mentioned a mate of mine owns/runs netweather.tv.......his words to me are

"My weather forecaster says currently weds light rain, mild thurs less rain, getting warmer, gets better for the weekend but poss chance of light rain most days"

Not quite sure what to make of that.

I completely missed your Netweather connections. Any chance you can point out to your mate that this site must have bumped up the Netweather visits by a significant amount and we'd love a bit of expert opinion on here?

Likewise with Finner. We'd love our own weather expert on here.

That GFS run is taking the piss  it's as if they've deliberately picked out Pilton and put a blue blob on there for the entire run despite the fact the rest of the UK seems to be dry. Another crazy run to ignore, perhaps I'm biased and just looking for positivity but does seem odd

Ive no idea how to read any of these charts. I think all of you people are mentally disturbed.

For us not meteorologists, whats the best/most accurate site with degrees and a nice pic of the sun? We’ll call it a “idiot chart” – accuweather, metcheck etc?

Guest blackcockerel

So is the general consensus that it's all to play for but something like 2007 is unlikely? Sorry miles behind on the thread due to work

i think we all got a bit overexcited yesterday, and todays models are bringing us back down to earth, jackone reduced his % to 40 yesterday so will be interesting to see what happens tonight.

    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
    • Proper loser behaviour wearing a tee like that. Me and my mate play a game every year called ‘Boomer Tees’ and there’s some gems every time.
