OK, a crazy busy day at work meant I've not been able to check things as I like - but the latest weather run uses the word TORRENTIAL.

WTF????

JACKONE update

So 2 charts. 1 amazing. 1 terrible. And they're ECMs. :(

So really f**king clear then. So frustrating.

Need the next one to agree with the 00z.

As has been pointed out before the GFS is up and down like a bride's nighty, as long as the other models stick to today's earlier pattern we can still be fairly confident. This could well be an outlier!

Jackone has changed his forecast and it doesn't look finished yet. See JACKONE

GFS is done, not ECM. We knew from earlier that GFS had gone all French again.

They just said on point's west news that the weather is looking like it will be better next week than what it is now right through the festival, so that's a good sign, obviously means nowt really i know but hey any good news is welcome.

Jackone's summary so far, more to follow...

Provisional summary awaiting ECM 12HZ, a generally good summary this evening with 3 of the 4 outputs going for mostly settled conditions, with the GFS 12Hz being much worse. However on a down side, there isn't that much difference synoptically between the GFS 12Hz and the others.

I reckon the 12Hz is a rogue. Not having it AT ALL. The 4assedmonkey verdict remains

    • Aldous Harding absolutely brilliant in Dublin last night. Quirky as ever but sounded magnificent. Played everything off the new album I think, it all sounded fantastic. Band, including H Hawkline, were understated but excellent. Another one to look forward to.
    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
