Latest GFS run is out (06z). In brief:

Wednesday: No Rain :)

Thursday: No Rain :)

Friday: No Rain :)

Saturday: No Rain :)

Sunday (early morning only so far): Light Rain

On the downside there is rain in the North of Scotland during the start of the festival and it's cats and dogs in Northern France at the end, so still dry, but still dodging bullets.

Just to reiterate, all forecasts except the Met Office are based on this data (AccuWeather, Metcheck, TheWeatherOutlook, etc etc etc) so they don't add any weight to this forecast.

Met Office forecast due in the next hour...

Met Office forecast is out:

UK Outlook for Wednesday 16 Jun 2010 to Friday 25 Jun 2010:

Generally dry for most parts with variable cloud and some sunny periods, although there is a low risk of some showery rain spreading into southern England at first. There is also a risk of rain affecting northern Scotland for a time. Generally settled conditions are expected to last over the weekend for many places, particularly southwestern areas. However, occasional light rain or showers may affect northern and eastern parts of the UK. Throughout the rest of the period, rain or showers may spread to more areas of the UK, although there will still be some sunshine. Mostly light winds may become stronger around exposed northern parts at times. Temperatures should be near normal, but slightly warmer in southern regions.

UK Outlook for Saturday 26 Jun 2010 to Saturday 10 Jul 2010:

The remainder of June and start of July continue the unsettled theme with rain or showers and some drier and brighter interludes. The wettest conditions are currently expected to affect mainly northern and western parts, with the best of the drier weather in southeast England. Temperatures may be above normal, with the warmest places towards the eastern side of the UK. The amount of sunshine looks to be around average for this time of the year.

Could be anything then, but based on this and GFS my money would be on similar to last year.

Right, I'm out of here until Monday. No forecasts until 6pm anyway and work/football/socialising need to be done. Monday should see some better forecasts coming into range:

ECM - this tends to be pretty good.

Norwegian Weather Service Only recently started using this, but seems pretty good.

16 at the warmest part of the day usually means pretty cold the rest of the time.

I don't understand why they give such low temperatures in their forecasts.. they always seem to. I don't think there's any way it'll be that low if there's as much sun as they're predicting, at this time of year

People, please. Are you really going to start pulling the expected temperatures apart when but 2 pages back you were all woeing and moaning about the potential of rain? Remember, the weather gods are still watching you - keep pledging those knackers boys, it's still early days.

And as my mam would say - no you can not have the gas fire on, put a ruddy jumper on if you're cold ;)

    • Had a lovely day in Prague now off to the festival. Very excited hope we all have fun regardless of weather!!
    • Iran are winning. If US aren't going to do the full invasion thing, then they may as well admit defeat and do what is needed to get the strait opened. Iran obviously have decided they can take any pain and stick it out as they have all the cards with this Hormuz thing. But obviously Trump can't admit defeat, and Israel just want this to keep going...and maybe it will carry on like this till after elections in both US and Israel towards the end of this year. God knows how the global economy will be by then.
    • All kicking off in N Ireland, all aided and abetted on videos that get circulated on social media and Elon Musk and Tommy Robinson telling people to take to the streets. Social media needs regulating same as publishers, if they have algorithms that push whatever to people then they are effectively publishers anyway. The problem is just going to get worse and worse.
