Ahem:

http://theweatheroutlook.com/twoforecasts/...20forecast.aspx

"22/6 to 30/6

A lot of fine and summery weather is expected during the last part of the month. Temperatures should generally be above average across the whole of the country, and it may become very warm in the south for a time. "

Ithankyew.

If enough of us issue pleas for theweatheroutlook.com weather forecast to come to pass, will it actually happen? That's what I'm hoping. Maybe we should start a poll?

UK Outlook for Wednesday 16 Jun 2010 to Wednesday 30 Jun 2010:

The somewhat unsettled theme with sunshine and showers is likely to continue at first, with perhaps a trend towards higher pressure giving drier, brighter and warmer conditions with some sunnier parts perhaps very warm. Southern and western parts may see more in the way of rainfall with the possibility of some thundery weather, whilst northern and eastern regions should remain drier.

It's going to be flip flop weather, with temperatures reaching Glasto perfect levels throughout the week. No chance of showers, but plenty of breeze to keep us cool in the beautiful sunshine.

Is there any way we could find out what they predicted this week's weather to be three weeks ago to check their validity?

(By the way Langdale, this is Sedgley Wolf off the Mix. I admire your steadfast refusal to accept any rainfall whatsoever during the festival. Sterling work in this thread!)

Jesus, I'm disappointed in myself, I can do better than that. In my defence I don't work in an office so can only get online when I've downed tools and at home.

Any way, back to the weather - the weathernerds on Netweather are talking about there being a bad spell after this weekend. I think this is good, as the clouds will be emptied and it will take the cloudmen several weeks to fill them back up, therefore leaving a dry spell over the festival.

As you are clearly a scholar and a man of science, I unconditionally accept your word on this. Does this also mean, therefore, that we should all get long range ground to air weaponry and descend on Somerset to kill said cloudmen? Seems the logical solution to me.

I think our prayers are being answered, we've all said we don't want it all dry and fine up until the festival as the rain has to go somewhere...

I think we are finally being listened to this year, the rain is coming next week, emptying itself out around everywhere and then going to bugger off before the 22nd June. YES!

It's exactly what we wanted! Why are we worrying? (Don't answer that.....)
