Whilst it was nice buying the tickets in my pants on my sofa, I do think there's a lot to be said for having regional box offices selling an allocation of tickets. Those that want them will be first in line. Those that come too late, tough luck. Harsh but fair. At least you know where you stand. Complete pot luck with a rubbish online ticketing system sucks in comparison.

the problem with that is that they'd need to have those box offices all around the country, but if the one you were at sold out while there were still tickets at another office miles away you'd be VERY pissed off.

At least this way all the tickets are in one big pile, meaning that you have a chance at tickets until every single ticket has gone.

No, I know, I was clutching at straws a little. But new systems even a month before T-Day seems a bit of a gamble.

Ticket agents have very busy days all the time - so anywhen wouldn't be a good time, and nothing could ever be improved.

And there was me thinking you wanted better systems. :D

While you might not like the systems they have, they appear to be working better than they were last year.

Thanks :D

Just tell me I'm not alone

I'm sometimes getting the Registration detail page, others times not.

Sometimes I get the Reg/Postcode does not exist warning, other times I go into the queue.

I have not bee further than the queue.

I got two different reg numbers for me and my sister, yet we don't know which ones work or not so I'm worried we've that all wrong.

I'm ringing the whole time with no joy bar once, when they told me to hold and then I got the engaged tone.

I've tried AOL, Google Chrome, Refreshing, Different Reg codes, different postcodes, different IP addresses and nothing is working.

Where am I going wrong?

https://www.seetickets.com/g2010/regform.as...;method=DEPOSIT

Takes you straight to the deposit page if it helps anyone.

On the subject of SEE it can be frustrating at times trying to get any popular gig or festival tickets from SEE, not just glastonbury but ive found if your online on time and persist you will get your tickets. In an ideal world i would go straight through in 2 minutes everytime and you could stop panicing. BUT be it 5 minutes or 3 hours its much much better than having to queue at a box office or hanging on the phone for hours and hours on end getting nothing more than the engaged tone.

SEE is definately improving all the time aswell, of course its not perfect but then again not many things are, except for that 1st ice cold pint of brothers at Glasto!!

Cheers for words of support.

The problem with the postcode is that I'm from Cork in Ireland so I'm wrecking my head trying to remember what I put in that box.

Twas 00000 as far as I remember.

Tried other buzzwords but that looked the most promising.

Thinking of leaving it for a few hours and coming back when I feel more sane.

If I get tickets today, I'm telling ya I'm going to celebrate and eat my body weight in ... meringues or something.

I didn't pay any attention when I was booking tickets, probably due to excitement levels.

However, if people are still trying to get tickets, it might be worth copying some of the URL's used during the booking process.

I have a sneaking suspicion that we can easily derive next year's from this year.

Especially the URL where it checks the Postcodes and Reg numbers....

I found it absurdly easy to get tickets this morning. I was barely finished my cup of tea and tickets were purchased even before 9am. I've had terrible hassles trying to get Leeds fest tickets in the past from See but they're a good company and I've always found them helpfull when i've had a problem.

Cannot believe all the slagging off for ticket buying this year, the festival hasn't even sold out, 65,000 so far have been sold so same again remaining.

I don't like See tickets having ahd issues with them in the past, but other ticket agencies aren't that much better.

So what s the alternative??? 70,000 peple going to a ticket office on a sunday morning???

Maybe banks can handle many transactions at once, however you will find that transactions are handled by any number of credit / debit card processing companies, so there will be lots of redundancy to handle transactions, but even the high street is not immune from overload, as peopel will notice when the card machine takes a little longer to process the transaction.

So for a single credit / debit card processing company to handle all these transactions for See is a major undertaking.

when 100 meg broadband become the norm & servers with terrabytes of memory, then will be the time to moan when tickets sell out in 30 seconds!!!!!
