Big post time.Bands that I would love to see again at EOTR:

I'm From Barcelona, Loney Dear, Efterklang, Ohbijou, Laura Gibson, Peter Broderick, Shearwater, Bowerbirds, Adrian Crowley, Jens Lekman, Port O'Brien, Sons Of Noel And Adrian, Paris Motel, Fanfarlo, My Latest Novel, Suburban Kids With Biblical Names, Chris T-T, Seabear, Misty's Big Adventure

Headliners I'd love:

Sufjan Stevens (gosh that would be amazing/unlikely to actually happen), Arcade Fire (too big I suppose), The National, The Divine Comedy, Eels, Jonsi, Beirut

Scandinavian bands (there needs to be more of these guys next year! Never seems to be enough):

Fredrik, Solander, Benni Hemm Hemm, Slaraffenland, The Kissaway Trail, Alcoholic Faith Mission, Mew, Oh No Ono, Hjaltalin, Choir Of Young Believers, Jesper Norda, Existensminimum, Tvärvägen, Múm, Chimes & Bells, Jong Pang, Erik Enocksson, Eberg, Johann Johannsson

Some British bands:

The Real Tuesday Weld, Neverest Songs, The Second Hand Marching Band, Tunng, Babybird, Adem, Tim & Sam's Tim And The Sam Band With Tim & Sam, Psapp, Windmill, Jonquil

And the lovely Rest Of The World:

Breathe Owl Breathe, Clem Snide, Get Well Soon, Soap&Skin, The Notwist, Dear Reader, DM Stith, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Dark Dark Dark, Musee Mecanique, A Weather, Venice Is Sinking, Soso, Wet Nose Hero, Point Juncture WA, Wheat, Throw Me The Stature, Fol Chen, The Most Serene Republic, Ramona Falls, Headlights, Why?, Owen Pallett, The Nurses, Paul Duncan, Lost In The Trees, Shugo Tokumaru, Sol Seppy, dEUS

All (or half or some or part) of them would be immensely great.

I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say..................

BONNIE PRINCE BILLY & THE CAIRO GANG

I have literally no evidence to back this up, nor any kind reasoning for this. But if this were a sweepstake, I'd slap my pound down on Mr Oldham.

Slayer are playing Sonisphere, unfortunately, so I guess they're not the exclusive :P.

No mention of the Mongoose on the Sonisphere site though, so maybe that's the difference?

Bonnie Prince Billy is in Europe in July/August, but back to the States in early August. No mention of tour dates after 8 August...

***SPOILER ALERT***

I can reveal that the UK exclusive act will be legendary 87-yr old spoons player Wilfred Cunningham from Norfolk, who will not be appearing in any other festivals this year. EOTR beat of significant interest from Guilfest, who withdrew their approach to Wilfred on receiving confirmation that he was still in fact alive.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
