2010 Headliners

Not right arsed about Blink but Green Day would be nice.. to say they arent V type bands is bullshit as both have had commercial success (as well as the not so commercial success) but with the way they the bookings have been going in recent years I doubt this is true. Plus three headliners...i'm not aware its a 3 day fest next year...arent the early birds advertised as 2 days???

I will wait and see this year before I buy. Had a top time at the fest but wasnt really arsed about many of the bands as most of it was a shower of shite. At the end of the day, you go to a fest to watch bands.

Id reckon more on V booking Muse, possibly Arctic Monkeys, and Kasabian as headliners.. the above is all a load of made up nonsense

I think that Green Day and Prodigy will be the headliners for 2010.

Green Day are well over due playing a festival in the UK and I can see V offering them more money than R & L and Prodigy have never been more popular than they are right now so the V organisers will play safe and snap them up.

I'm not a V goer but it wouldn't suprise me if Greenday played V. It all fits, doubtful that they would play any other festival, V pays the money.

They did T in 2005, the tour looks like it knocks Reading/Leeds out the running. ME from Glasto doesn't think there the right type of band. Download and V look likely. V pays the money thou.

    • Never too early to start discussing next year’s headliners right?   I’m not attending this year so thought I’d get the ball rolling as I saw Weezer have a new album out in August I’d expect them to do this or Slam Dunk next year. I mean they’re probably too big for this however I think they’re niche enough that they would maybe do it, it just depends on if the fee is a bit out of range for trees.    It’ll be the 20th anniversary next year so I’d expect some throwbacks and hopefully some big headliners/acts. James has already said he’s made a mad booking that you wouldn’t guess & I think he mentioned that he’s spent something like 80% of this years budget of next years top line already on last weeks 2 promoters 1 pod (Don’t quote me on that).    I reckon they’ll try for and get at least two (not all) of the following - Enter Shikari, AFI, Weezer, Sex Pistols Feat Frank Carter, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls
    • for some reason last night watched series one of Prey on Netflix.   if Legends was written by Timmy Mallet (see above) then Prey seems to have been made by Mr Blobby.   why are all these British crime dramas so sh*t?
    • It'll be all over various Seatfillers based upon previous years at Sandringham
    • The Jayhawks 2026 UK Tour    Sept 15 – Brighton – Corn Exchange  Sept 16 – London – Electric Ballroom Sept 17 – Manchester – Academy 2 Sept 18 – Glasgow – The Garage    For you ‘americana’ lovers. They have a great song book.
    • Weezer just announced a new album & US tour so could add them to the headliner pool. Imagine they’ll do this or trees
