Not a good drug. Not taken it myself but a lot of mates are taking it regularly. Its seemingly pretty damn addictive and after seeing a friend the other day in a state I would advise people to stay away from it.

He has decided to stop after his knees and hands turned blue and he realised how addicted he was becoming to it.

This isn't just a one person story however as a fair few friends have been taking this stuff and all seem to be coming to the same conclusion and slowly wrapping it up.

bought some out of curiosity a while back, (after some DR was on radio warning against it - not sure that was his intention but anyways) was a decent enough buzz but didn't last long. Can't say I really enjoyed it so swapped remaining 2g for a few smokes instead. Much better for my head

I know people who don't touch it because despite the very decent high, the racing heart and lack of sleep is enough to put them off.

I did it once at a party a few months back and found the comedown horrible.

I haven't went near it since, and make a point of avoiding house parties if I think there's any of it about.

The state of some people on it is discomforting, to say the least.

For a legal drug, it's pretty potent stuff, and, like other posters, I know a few people who seem to be at it every weekend. I can only speculate as to whether they're addicted or not, but it's availabilty does leave it open to serious abuse.

well, I've taken this a few times over the last 4 weeks. Last Friday I was at a party had a large line to start the night off and didn't top myself up and that worked well for me. I just sat and chatted to complete strangers for hours and hours. and had a whale of a time. however 2 or 3 people who were topping themselves up went from having a good time to having a bad time. one guy just slumped in a chair and shook his head for about an hour. while another stripped to his pants to cool down.

great in moderation. but if you've got a gram sat in your pocket most people will do the whole gram.

I think I may have been on it last year. Very speedy, very strong and very bad hangover. Was supposed to be MDMA crystals but clearly wasn't. I was sociable, but spent Saturday night stomping around the site going from gig to gig, not staying more than 10 minutes in each place. I remember Bruce Springsteen was dull and Stanton Warriors were loud. Don't remember any other performances.

Sunday was spent in my tent. What a waste, had a good time overall, but what a waste of a good festival.

Mephedrone, this is a weird one, I have researched many chemicals over many years and I have never know a chemical like it. The two faces of Mephedrone, for some it seems the best drug ever: euphoric stimulating a social lubricant, perfect for almost any situation with no comedowns and yet for others big side effects with massive come downs.

With this situation and the limited knowledge of the substance, hard to recommend anybody to take this substance, however of course people do and will continue to do so, the best advice I could give if you are dead set on trying this gear, is not to make your first experience of it at Glastonbury, so at least you know which camp you are in before you get to Glastonbury and therefore minimise the chances of wasting a day there.

From the 100s of trip reports of this substance I have read, it causes most issues if snorted, this potentates the effects and the comedowns and makes the chemical so very very morish and fiendish, this often leads to the more more more ethos that people seem to get into. Simple harm reduced advice, if you must take it bomb it, (put it in a rizla and swallow it), much nicer come-up very similar in this respect to mdma, although quicker, about 20-30minutes, then only re-dose twice then stop, this will give you about 4-5 hours flying which is surely enough.

Only use this stuff once a month at most otherwise tolerance builds up very quickly, then people are needing big doses to get an effect at all, in this situation side effects and come downs are greatly increased.

This stuff is great advertisement for legalisation of mdma et al.

My partner is very open minded when it comes to myself and stuff but Mephedrone has got her concerned and I have had a sort of talking to, which I have never had before.

Then at the weekend a friend who go's to Glasto with me told her , that whilst she does not mind

looking out for me at Glasto , she can't be doing it if I am on it !

As for Mephedrone, I am planning on trying it for the first time in a few weeks. I plan to bomb it and restrict the amount I take out with me. I am controlling it by not mixing with any other drugs apart from alcohol. I have tried most things over the last 23 years of experimenting and I am excited to see what this can do for me. If it works out I will most definitely be taking some to Glastonbury. I will also report back to this thread.

With risk of removing my completely "sweet and innocent" reputation I have found putting mephedrone up your nose is really morish and hurts your nose and the drip is possibly worse than ketamine (which is an awful drug really). I did it at a party at the weekend and it kept me awake until 9am the next day and was fun, but the main effect was just that it made me talk a load of shite to everyone.

The Leeds underground clubbing scene has been massive on mephedrone for quite a while, in the same way Ket started to be big in clubs here a few years back.

Probably cos theres so many shit pills in Leeds, people look for other buzz's!!!

Mephedrone isnt bad, although take it on a daily basis and will f**k you up! and when your buying in 20g a time fer next to nothing its easily done because its so adictive!

Tried it for the first time on a night out a few weeks back and was impressed. Had about 4 keys over the course of the full night and felt great, hardly any comedown the next day. LMAO at the people on here whove said its good as long as you dont take it every day.........take it every day !! havent these people got jobs or function in a real world at all, f**k taking that stuff 9-5 LOL
