We didnt have to leave til 6pm monday so we were some of the last to leave, which meant that when everyone left all their spare booze and food our whole group went scavenging and had a free party! Anyone else do this?

Couldnt unfortuneatly indulge in FestieScavenge this year due to leaving so early. Tis one of my fave things to do. Have collated a veritable pile of goodies over the years. Best one being the sledge we got from Rockness that we managed to get back ON the plane to Gatwick in 07! :)

My boyfriend wanted to me to scavenge for tent pegs whilst he was putting the tent down. I was too scared though as I wasn't 100% sure what was left and what wasn't.

I did find on sunday night that someone had left an empty tent and 8 cans of beer outside it. I had 4 of those away only to be told that we had tonnes of beer so it wasn't such a good find! :)

I wish someone would have shared this beer they left - we ran out of beer mid-afternoon Sunday. Also ran out of gin, vodka and whiskey. All we had left was a bit of wine, Baileys and some raki. The raki didn't get finished.

I went scavenging with my girlfriend on the Monday night (making sure that everything was abandoned). We managed to get:

-Three (I think) man tent that was packed up and kindly left by our neighbour.

- A two roomed six man tent, not much was left but it had an efests clashfinder inside it but was clearly abandoned.

- A three roomed nine man tent in a massive bag.

- Two Gazebos.

- A solar shower.

- A good quality sack truck to carry extra stuff.

We could barely fit it in my car .

I did however come across a snazzy popup tent that I thought a young relative would love but it was too much to carry. Same with this massive tent that was probably a teepee in it's bag.

We left a 4 man tent (put it down first though) and about 8 cans of Fosters (I'd forgot how horrible it was) for anyone who wanted it. Just couldn't be bothered with all the weight for the walk to the bus in the pissing down rain on Monday morning.

On a different note I lost my backpack up at the stone circle that contained my glasses - thankfully I rarely use them but still gonna need to go to Specsavers and get a new pair, my stupid fault for wandering off and forgetting where my mates were though I guess.

I left half a crate of Carling and a couple of blankets in the Dairy Grounds, hopefully they found a good home.

Didn't want to leave our tents because of some of this. While we were waiting around on Monday, our neighbours asked us to mind their tents while they were gone. 3 people went into their tents in the space of 20 minutes, 2 of the groups didn't have wristbands. Obviously theres absoultly nothing wrong with taking stuff people have left behind, my mate took a pop-up tent himself, just not sure if some would care if the tents were obviously still occupied!

Scavenging - looking for or obtaining food or other objects in other people's rubbish.

Thieving - dishonestly taking something which belongs to someone else and keeping it.

It's a fine line as many times you can't tell if someone has actually abandoned their stuff or has simply wandered off to the loo.
