Illness

Hello there! Despite having my best ever glasto, I am really beginning to feel very ill. Bad aches, migraines and incessant coughing. My mate had been experiencing these symptoms in the last few days of the festival, and i shared a tent with him for the whole thing.

Anyone else feeling this bad? Starting to get a little worried.....:s

Its just post Glasto comedown. You have just spent 5 days living in a field with little to no sleep, far too many substances and probably not the healthiest food going into your bodling.

As Eavis says in the movie...it is an outdoor pursuit experience...you SURVIVE Glastonbury!

Bad aches...walking 30+miles in 5 days

Migraines...hot weather, not enough liquids inside you...you are dehydrated...get on it!

Incessant coughing...the GlastoHack caught from the exposure, the long nights and the plastic being burnt on the fires.

Nothing to worry about...but if you start to oink or grow trotters then maybe call the doctor! :)

Well, Its funny. I didn't struggle with my hay-fever at the festival, which was good coz I forgot my medication!

Continued this trial afterwards and it seems to have been a big mistake.....aaaaaaa choooo

Hmm...I am no doctor but those symptoms SM added dont sound like Glastoflu...have suffered from that many times now and shortness of breath never came into the picture.

G Flu usually starts by the time you get home but after a bath and a rest the symptoms dissipate as the serotonin replenishes itself, the liver heals itself, you get your hydration levels back to normal...

I came back with coughing and snezzing and managed to convince my flats mates i had swine flu (did'nt take much doing as they are scared of every cough and sneeze). The looks on their faces was priceless....made my coming home that bit more bareable!

I'm alright now, just a little sad that I'm back in normality. On the Saturday of the fest I'm convinced I got heat stroke - was very very thirsty all day, bad headache, exhausted and not up to drinking but thankfully by the time Kasabian and Springsteen came around in the cooler hours I was alright again.

i've felt fine, apart from post glasto depression setting in the last few days.

did my knee a couple of years ago and still have to have support it, but even with all the walking and throwin' shapes it's been fine.

but yeah, i'd say get yourself checked out mate, be on the safe side.

Yeah, I got the Glasto Lurgi, as me and the other half call it.

I get it every year, feels a bit like flu but it's not a virus. It's just your body being so run down. Think about the week you just had, it was pretty extreme right?

Feeling better now, just waiting for my turn with the old Piggy Cold. Bring it on!

its definetly some bug that's going round - we all had it before hand but it had been up and down the country. Cough lasts for up to 6 weeks. My Wife is now in bed with it post festival. GP didn't appear worried about Hog FLu. There's generally something kicking round post glastonbury. a few years back it was loss of voice - the conditions were ideal of air-born viruses.

If you're worried then get checked out. if not then keep to yourself, plenty fluid, rest and clean eating/drinking.
