Maybe it was Jade Goody who won them?

Is she even dead yet? She's still getting more press than when she was alive. If she is dead, does anyone know when the resurection is? I need to pre-order my copy of WeakMinded Magazine in case it sells out quickly.

For those still mourning her, don't worry, you get the chance very soon to pick the new Jade in the forthcoming TV auditions better known as Big Brother 9643.

:D

the email isn't bouncing.

We can only send emails - successful receipt to a user's inbox is the responsibility of the account holder and/or their ISP.

If people choose to use (say) hotmail along with all the crap service that comes by default with hotmail (I can give a VERY long list!) that's their look out and not mine.

True enough. I suspect it might be in the notoriously dodgy hotmail junk mail filter or even the account junk folder then probably if there was no bounce. They might yet discover it.

it's not actually a hotmail address that this person has .... but hotmail is sooooo fantastic, it often just swallows emails, without even giving any bounce. It works to the usual fantastic microshit standard - no standards at all.

yeah, it seems that running a straightforwards competition via a system that has worked perfectly ever since Glastonbury introduced registrations and gives people without a ticket the chance to go is all too much for some people, and that I should be running a comp now for next year with tickets I don't have and don't know I'll get, or whatever.

Shame for the winner, at work we find that AOL emails can disappear into the ether also, so if it's an AOL customer maybe sending a seperate email from a personal address might help (like I say, I get this at work ALL the time, go figure).

If you can't contact the winner it would be REALLY nice if the good folks at glasto would allow the tickets to be redrawn/auctioned for wateraid/given to someone who truly deserves it (ok, the last one is impossible, but you know, it would be nice if someone who had recently lost both legs, caught swine flu and is fighting an addiction to beetroot got them)

all competition pages have said that for a year or more - there's very many people who've registered whose email addies against their account is an old one.

In fact, because of this, we've now taken things a step further, and don't accept competition entries from people whose email address we know to be dead, instead giving them a prompt to correct their email addy to a good one before they can enter.

(there's currently a small bug with the system we've implimented for this tho, which will be addressed and corrected within the next 36 hours).
