I really don't think the Park slot will be his. I love his music, he's made some fantastic albums but, to be fair to him, he wouldn't really cause a health and safety issue, would he? I saw him a few weeks back playing the new album and, as much as I enjoyed it, I'd love to see a set like this again:

01 - Intro

02 - Escape Song

03 - You Always Let me Down

04 - Don't Let Your Man Know

05 - I Can't look at Your Skin

06 - You & I

07 - Bittersweet Bundle of Misery

08 - Just a State of Mind

09 - Girl Done Gone

10 - Spectacular

11 - No Good Time

12 - Right to Pop!

13 - What's He Got

14 - Standing on my Own

15 - I Don't Wanna Go Out

16 - Gimme Some Love

17 - Freakin' Out

18 - (break)

19 - Life It Sucks

20 - See A Better Day

21 - I Wish

22 - All Mod Cons

23 - People of the Earth

24 - (break)

25 - Who the f**k

Something else that gig, probably one of my top 10 of all time it was that good.

Before i start i saw blur live in 98 at glastonbury and they were amazing unless something else great is added i will probably go and see them again thsi year and have a dam good time.

There are 2 main gripes against blur are

1) The inconsistent nature of their albums they alway have a few great songs a few decent ones but the rest of the songs are dull filler dross not reelly annoying songs just non discript. as they seem like to do albums with up to 16 songs on it often means half the albums rubbish, i just reakon they needed to do a few less albums with a few less songs on . a case in point the self titled album was my biggest musical let down and this in a year that saw the seahorses. i even found the best of a bit disappointing

2) often praised for reinventing themselves this often seemed to me to be a case of finding another great band to rip off and copy. Charlatens - kinks - pavement - spiritualised.

They've done a few great tunes but is this enough to make them a great band

I know i'm going to get abuse for this but its waht i feel and wondered if others agreed If you don't coherent arguements please just writing this is a low does not pass muster although it is a great tune.

No one has mentioned Alex James or Dave Rowntree in this! I've very easy to pay attention to the guitarist and singer of every band going, like they're the only creative driving forces, but they're one of the best rhythm sections an indie band has ever had. Alex James is a bass god, I just hope he'll have a fag hanging out his gob cause he's outside.... :P

Blur are without a doubt (imho) one of the greatest bands going. So there!

Why go see them though? Unless you're an almighty BlurFanboy i wouldn't bother. They won't have done anything new so in my eyes it's like watching a repeat rather than getting out there and finding something you didn't know you enjoyed. If you are a BlurFanboy then i'm not going to help you.

save their tunes for the car journey home.

Did he write:

We the people fight for our existence

We don't claim to be perfect

But we're free

We dream our dreams alone

With no resistance

Fading like the stars we wish to be

No he f**king well didnt.

Heres another one.

So take me away cos I just don't want to stay

And the lies you make me say

Are getting deeper every day

These are crazy days but they make me shine

Time keeps rolling by

All around the world, you've got to spread the word

Tell them what you've heard

We're gonna make a better day

    • Ghost did it on their last tour  and there was a whole article of people complaining about it at the Manchester gig cause somehow they werent informed and didnt know why there was a massive queue to enter the venue. At MSG everyone was given a souvenir ticket which had their seat info written on it so you knew where go to. Itll be fine.   added dates due to sign ups for presale.
    • If anyone happens to have a Sunday ticket (or two) to sell then I would be interested in buying for face value. Thanks!
    • NIN and Bjork for sure 😉
    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
