Except that they didn't and The Glade was absolutely rammed with people waiting for 'The London Dust Explosion' and 'The Drunk Soul Brother'

Stopped Lost Vagueness from getting too full though!

With three of us, all with different tastes, having mystery guests is just a pain in the a*se as we'll have to have a "debate" about who to see all over again! With everyone having tickets, and them being effectively sold out, what's the point in having "surprises" - instead of being able to amble to the appropriate stage it seems a scrum is more likely. Apart from that, the fact that whoever it is is not on the Pyramid Stage indicates that there's probably rather more hype than content anyway. Silly idea.

I THINK it will be Libertines.

I HOPE it will be someone much bigger.

I PRAY to the God of music that it will be Rage Against the Machine. Bit of a long shot though.

I think Radiohead might be a possibility actually...

It sounds ludicrous but remember Michael Eavis was quoted a few weeks ago saying something along the lines of getting phone call's from Radiohead's manager asking about things.

As ivan would probably say, It would please the Radiohead nerds

Double bluff anybody?

I fully expect this "massive" band to be the Libertines, On the Friday

Think about it logically, what did she say? "Health and Safety risks", "info is never gonna get out", "for the lucky fans who are there".

Now with all this speculation about the Saturday half the site are gonna turn up at The Park, creating the problem Emily alluded to, unless the massive band (Libertines, hey I'm no fan but ppl love them) have already put a cheeky spot in elsewhere.

Personally I think the Queens Head is better for them, means Q (and NME) can don't have to leave the safety of their own tent to brown nose some Crack head.

Long story short, there should be a "massive" band playing, but it could be on any stage any time, might not even be billed as special guests, otherwise Emily has contradicted herself by hyping up the "secret" spot.

im not a fan of the 'secret' gig. if you won't do me the dignity of announcing yourselves in plenty of time, then do not expect me to walk accross the site on the off chance it's someone i like! i had my fingers burned last year: went to the Park to see Dizzee and on walked Franz Ferdinand. it gave me a chance to get the beer in i suppose.

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
