My God I cant actually believe people are thinking Radiohead in a serious manner.........Come on!! Not going to happen..........simple..........It would be way to dangerous!! It would/will get out in the end and to have anyone that big would put the festival at risk.........It will be someone much smaller........the nearest you would get to Radiohead would be a cover band or at a strech Yorke doing a solo gig playing his own tunes........but that is not going to happen either............

Libertines is a good shout........Bands such as MGMT, Vampire Wknd, Gossip, CSS, Spiritulized, Super Furries will not be too far of it

I reckon The Furries is a chance........new album and Gruff is always sniffing about Glasto........

Ha! Nah i know its not going to be them (i can hope), but there is enough evidence to keep the conspiracy theorists happy and that the idea shouldn't be completely mocked:

-ME recent quote about being in contact with Radiohead management,

-Radiohead will have headline exclusivity with Reading/Leeds and so Glasto wouldn't be allowed to bill them as appearing, but secret appearance is possible. This along with the wording of the Reading Press release that failed to say whether it was a exclusive UK festival performance.

-Could well have been fourth headliner but because of Reading/Leeds, couldn't. (Also suspicious because of a quote i saw from Ed not that long ago that they thought early evening summer shows on a main stage with a full set up was a waste when it wasn't actually properly dark - would apply to second from top act on Pyramid)

-EE implies its going to be a pretty major act.

-They did that secret store gig in London in 2007, so obviously like the idea of minimal set up to small number of people

-They love Glasto.

For a radiohead fanatic that evidence is as good as confirmed

Could be the most comical sight the Pyramid stage has ever seen as the first text messages get out to indie kids watching Neil Young/Springstein because they're not sure who to see if it is Radiohead/Coldplay/Libertines. Imagine the carnage for a good 2 mile stretch across the site, and particularly at the Pyramid field exits.

:D:)

I take it this is in reference to the band at reading last year called The FFers who played BBC Introducing and lots of people thought it was a secret foo fighters show so hundreds more people turned up. But it was just a band called The FFers. I was working but heard about this!

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
