Im starting to think it might be Green Day

I hope to god it's Green Day instead of Radiohead, or they're both there and KOL are under Radiohead or Arctics..

I'll seriously die of boredom if it's Arctics/Kings/Radiohead.. worst headliners I can remember.

Not holding out for Lockup/NME headliners being any more interesting either unless Jane's Addiction, Weezer, or Prodigy headling the NME.

Green Day would sell more tickets than Radiohead (as well as Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon combined), why would they be below them?

i can see arctic monkeys being at bloc party level at worst (which is still really good), but i think they're just going to get bigger.

neither the futureheads nor kaiser chiefs were as successful as arctic monkeys at any point. i don't think you can group them together. you can't even group futureheads and kaiser chiefs together - kaiser chiefs play arenas, and high bill or headline slots. as far as i'm aware, the futureheads haven't headlined any big stage at any major festival, right?

are you 100% sure it's not green day neil?

I can never be 100% about these things because I don't have access to the festival's own info. The info I get comes to me from various places, some of which should be far more trustworthy than others.

In the case of Green Day I got info several months ago from what should be a very excellent source that they're not playing UK festivals this summer - the same source has provided me with lots and lots of stuff over the years, and it's rarely been wrong. When it has been wrong in the past I'm pretty sure it's only been wrong because things have changed over time, and what he's told me has been correct at the time he told me.

I have had near enough the same info come to me from other private sources (again, some of which are very good), and even some of the tabloids have touched on it.

So while I cannot be 100% certain, I'm about as sure as I ever get about anything with this.

It's only a matter of time.. I was right about the futureheads whom I also touted for failure, and the Kaisers seem to be on their way down too!

punktastic have already been proven wrong about this year, cos they said the headliners didn't include Arctics as a headliner.

Why do you think they'll be more right with this latest guess (and I think it's pretty obvious that it is a guess!!)?

I think people are just believing Punktastic because they hope it's ACDC instead of Radiohead..

I'm sure you'll be right with the headliners rumoured.. I'm just hoping they're wrong this year
