Tis a good thing then I am flying home early from Oz for the Brighton Show then!

Of course had every bit of me crossed for a Glasto appearance what with them playing every blooming where else including the corporate Chavtastic behemoth of Global Gathering - a festival that doesnt exactly suit Dance Gods as their sets get cut short and the audience only ever go to see them for one famous tune...see Underworld 2005!!! Honestly!

Potential backlash on loopz possibly?

Now just got to decide if I extend my UK visit all the way to the end of August for Get Loaded...

is Big Chill sold out yet?

BUT...if the Fleetwood Mac rumours are true...not seeing the wonderful Hartnoll Bros... FM will be a fab consolation.

Big Chill tickets are still available; I was thinking to take a year off Big Chill (first time in ages), but I'm becoming more tempted now. Ticket prices increase after 28th February, when the early bird scheme ends. £129 -> £145

Gutted, words cannot describe fully how I feel about this! I go to Electric Picnic Every Friggin year and can't afford it this year because i'm goin to Glasto!!

I Know Glasto will be outstanding no matter who plays but had really got my hopes up for Orbital!

How can they not when they are doing all this http://www.loopz.co.uk/begin.html

I was a bit disappointed by their last Glasto appearance. There were these massive gaps between the tracks and I never felt it got going. And it was fecking cold, though I suppose that's not their fault.

I also wondered todat whether Glasto has a big but different electronica act lined up, for which Orbital can't muscle aside and take a top spot?

.....Daft Punk or Faithless being the obvious candidates.....

& when was the last time Glasto didn't have a big electronica act headlining a major stage at some point across the weekend?

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
