I think that's innacurate - I'm pretty sure the UK dates are in July and not Auguest.

But are you fairly sure that Metallica are playing Knebworth? Any word on NIN showing up?

I've heard whispers from my own sources that the show is at Knebworth, that the headliners are Metallica & Lincoln Pork, that it's happening in July, and that it was meant to be announced this week but got moved to next week.

What I don't know are the exact dates, or what the event is called.

I'll go just for Metallica really. If this does go ahead and everything works out, hopefully Metallica will bring Machine Head and Lamb Of God with them and get a band like Nine Inch Nails or Placebo on the bill somewhere, that would be an awesome weekend.

I think Download is going to be Tuesday, tho I'm not sure.

Download website says the announcement is Monday 9th! Unless they changed it. They wouldn't do that though, surely?!?!?

I've heard Tuesday, but I think it might well be an announcement on Kerrap radio at 7pm and on the Download website shortly after, and then press releases for Tuesday.

Sonisphere is announced early on Monday I believe. It's defo two days, with Metallica and Lincoln Pork as the headliners. I don't know which is playing what day.

I have a feeling that Sonisphere might be a no-camping fest, because I can't remember camping happening at Knebworth. But I could be wrong about that.
