I've started watching The Restaurant over the last couple of weeks. Did any of you see the aeroplane cake that the guy made, I almost wet myself laughing at it :P

They showed that on Harry Hill, hillarious. :P

V - 2009

Is suprisingly good..............

the ending of episode 4 with the huge fleet of spaceships was rather excellent

Just a shame there's no new episodes until March :P

Can American TV not just show 20 episodes for 20 straight weeks without taking massive f**king breaks! :P

I've started watching something called Six Feet Under.

f**k me it's good. Why haven't I watched this before?

Watched a few odd episodes when it first came out on C4 but lost track....Just got the first season; bout 6 episodes in, and it's cracking. :P

I'm now very much enjoying Carnivale. I love the surrealism in it. I can't actually think of a HBO series I've not enjoyed. Anyone?

Carnivale's great aswell....slight warning that it did get cut after two seasons so finishes unresolved, but it's well worth watching.

That tends to happen with American television, doesn't it? Deadwood was the same. Rome finished about twenty years of history in three episodes .... Firefly was very annoying.

Yeah, does. The Wire was under pressure of being axed viewing figures wise but they had confidence enough to continue it.

Didn't actually mind Deadwood's ending; enough closure imo. Similar with Twin Peaks really...

Still to watch Firefly and Rome.

It started brilliantly, dipped a little in the middle (still better than most things on TV, just not as good as it can be) then the final series was just amazing.

Castle might be terrible, but for TV nostalgia like that, it's worth the trek.

I started watching this over xmas. I kinda like it :P

It's awfy cheesy, but Nathian Fillion is a total legend and my love of Stana Katic goes back to Collette Stenger :P So I enjoy it :P

currently midway through the 3rd series of "Oz" - I love HBO :P

Seems every actor/actress doing the current television shows did "Oz" at some point

Harold Perinneau (Michael - Lost),

Edie Falco - (Carmela Soprano)

Kirk Acevedo (Charlie - Fringe, Toye - Band of Brothers)

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Mr Eko - Lost)

J. K. Simmons (Juno's dad, Spiderman etc)

Ernie Hudson (Winston - ghostbusters)

Lee Tergeson (Evan Wright (the reporter) - Generation Kill)

Dean Winters (Charley (Sarah's boyfriend) - Sarah Connor Chronicles)

Luis Guzmán - (loads of stuff, Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Traffic etc)

Željko Ivanek (Andre Drazen - 24, Emile Danko - Heroes)

J.D. Williams (Boadie Broadus - The Wire)

Lauren Velez (Laguerta - Dexter)

Leon Robinson (Derice - Cool Runnings)

David Zayas - (Batista - Dexter)

Erik King (Doakes - Dexter)

Rawls, Norman Wilson, Burrell, Avon, Daniels, Freamon, Herc, Carver, Breanna Barksdale all in in parts aswell.

edit: haha, Carla from scrubs just showed up.

Have you seen his episode of PG porn?

Legendary status rockets after that. There's one with Wash from Firefly too.

    • How much is Burnham's success down to Manchester getting a shitton of investment for public transport infrastructure?   There's no doubt he did the work, but the money dumped into Manchester for him to achieve that was huge - the most of any infrastructure project outside London ever. Did that need a mayor, or just the money?
    • Sounds good tbh.
    • Bristol was the only city in 2012 that voted for a mayor. We had a local independent who was popular, then Marvin Rees won and was so corrupt that Bristol voted to get rid of the position - having just had the WECA mayor position put in place as well.
    • They built a watering system and have been watering the island for the past few weeks to reduce dust, but given the current drought, there will still be dust. They will cover twice as much ground around the main stage with those plastic panels as they did before. They couldn't book Gogol Bordello because the singer was afraid the government would allow Russian security services to capture him if he entered the country. They didn't have much room to be selective about artists. They booked whoever they could get. This year's Sziget will be only about 50% of his original vision. He wanted a dedicated rock stage. They are preparing for a loss of 1.5 billion HUF this year. For some reason, student tickets are not selling in the numbers they had expected. He said that when he talks about the lineup being less important, he doesn't mean Sziget should have a weaker lineup than Primavera. Rather, it should have a similarly strong lineup combined with much more non-musical programming, so people from abroad come here to see the same artists but have a completely different overall experience. He didn't miss Sziget and originally wanted to spend no more than two days a week dealing with it, but now he's working on it full-time and has handed over control of the rest of his businesses.
    • Well the point seems to be 22.7% turn out doesn't suggest the majority are rushing out to support the mayoral system.
