The spoof trailers you get in a few films always make laugh. The tropic Thunder ones were great. I know we've spoken about it before, but the one at the start of Planet Terror, which is a film version of the Uncle character from Spy Kids? That is going to be made?

In other news, I'm looking forward to watching The Damned United over the week-end.

Transsiberian - ok/good hitchcockian style train thriller with ben kingsley, emily mortimer, woody harrelson, and kate mara...who's just too hot.

good but could've been better.

7/10.

Role Models - pretty good fun.

7.5/10.

Blind Flight is on BBC1 tonight around 11pm - it's about Brian Keenan and John McCarthy's experiences as hostages in Beirut.

It's a quite brilliant film based on Keenan's book An Evil Cradling.

I would heartily recommend it to anyone - some tremendous performances.

I watched Elite Squad at the weekend, set in Rio but their elite police force. It's nowhere near as good as City of God but still worth a watch, some of it really is brutal. As beautiful as Rio looks I'd never want to visit.

It's very sad to see. She was a beautiful woman who would have looked fine ageing naturally. She's lost those signature laughter 'brackets' she had around her mouth and her nose just looks proper messed up now. I found it difficult to concentrate on the film.
