what an action packed day

to have a near 100 run first innings lead on day one is unbelievable

It would appear that we have some bloody awful batsmen right now. I'd love to see wholesale changes in that department for the final test, they could hardly do much worse. But I suspect the official solution will be to play an extra batsman and allow Bopara & Colly the whole series. Meh.

Was there yesterday and it was awful. So bad....

Bopara needs taking out of the firing line but the problem is who do you replace him with.

We look pretty average without both Peterson and Flintoff.

KP probably would have got out cheaply as well

his scores this series are 32, 44, 8 and 69

and that was against australia playing badly

but he sure is better than Bell

Flintoff has one or possibly zero tests left for england so need to win without him

freddie barely bowled in birmingham and england still bowled alot better than they have this match, in the first innings anyway. maybe too many fairweather champions in the side
