  1. Basically...what can I say. Gypsy makes me cry. Sometimes, at Glastonbury, crying is good.
  2. I won’t be there until Tuesday! If I knew how emojis work, imagine a crying face.
  3. Apologies everyone, but I did do a search and never found it.
  4. 2016. Left Edinburgh 23:30 on the Tuesday night NE coach, scheduled to arrive 8am Wednesday. Got through gates 23:45 Wednesday night due to the traffic chaos that year. Absolute carnage..... nearly 24 hours on a coach but astounding how all that worry and stress just melted away when dawn broke the following morning.
  5. Hi all with the price of fuel the way it is, and with an eye on the environment, I thought it might be useful to people who can’t use public transport for whatever reason, to request or offer to share space in their cars. So I’ll start.... I usually travel by coach, but as I’m volunteering this year, I have to get to Bristol early on June 21st and take the Shelter bus from there.... here’s my trip.... Scotland to Bromsgrove during day Monday 20th June (stopping overnight in Bromsgrove) Bromsgrove to central Bristol early Tuesday 21st June, arriving around 9am. I am travelling solo, and would have space in my car for up to two more. If either or both legs of that journey help you out, drop me a line. I know there’s plenty weird folk in the world, especially on here, so I won’t exclude weirdos.... just no psycopathic axe murderers please.
  6. My own moments are likely to be.... Friday......Redemption Song by Ziggy Saturday.....Macca singalong to any one of many Beatles hits Sunday..... Gypsy by Suzanne Vega
  7. I have never had my ticket checked by See on the return trip. They’re just desperate to ship you out and get on the road I think. It’s all very chaotic and seems a bit first come first served. I think anyone could rock up and get on any bus to anywhere in the country to be honest.
  8. Clearly whenever I arrive I’m just so delighted and excited to be there, I’ve never noticed this!
  9. I know it’s not exactly a scientific survey.... but I’d say the early indications are, that for the usual efesters demographic, West Holts is looking pretty poor this year. That’s my own experience as well.... very unusually, there’s very little on there for me this year, headliner or otherwise.
  10. Have travelled by coach, using both See and NE in the past.... I can’t remember there being specific queues/lanes for each on the way in, just on the way out (which makes sense). That said, I could be wrong... you just tend to grab all your gear and follow the masses on the way in, but are looking for a specific coach/destination on the way out.
  11. Thanks @Sawdusty surfer top work as always. Enjoy the build up, only three weeks to go!
  12. Top work as always @deebeedoobee only forecast worth paying attention to. Keep it coming!
  13. @professionalcrastinator when line up came out I remembered this thread..... took me a while to find it! Anyway.... band called Doreen Doreen are playing on Summer House stage three times, basically every night after the headliners, and they are almost exactly what you describe in the OP. Plus, they are absolutely fantastic fun. Was luck enough to catch them at Valley Fest last year, and I had the time of my life. It was an absolute party.
  14. .... and I just can’t hide it. I’m about to lose control and I think I like it.
  15. Set up camp Cider Bus Bimble ... but this year I’m arriving on Tuesday, so only steps 2 & 3.
  16. Confess to not understanding folk thinking Libs v Ziggy is even a thing, can’t say I like the Libertines at all but Ziggy, first up on Pyramid.... I think it could be absolutely epic. Check out his latest setlist https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/ziggy-marley/2022/red-rocks-amphitheatre-morrison-co-73b48ea9.html Redemption Song on the Pyramid, beer in hand, sun out, to kick off my festival? All over it.
  17. Foals Macca or Jamie T probably Macca Suzanne Vega bar shifts permitting.
  18. Yep. Didn’t like this one.
  19. Loads more contactless payments were confirmed during training for Shelter. Every server will have their own PDQ rather than one or two per bar.
  20. Ok, apologies in advance, I’ve been out, and had a bit to drink. But hey ho, here goes. There’s loads of things that remind me of the festival.... but what are the things on here, the efestivals site, that you thinks are just part of your experience.... I shall start.... @Curlygirl Cherry Bakewell @deebeedoobee weather reports @The Nal weather Armageddon
  21. West Holts sound not the best. Jacksons sound was terrible in the field...however apparently was ok on TV.
  22. My lovely wife made sausage beans and chips. Now deciding whether half seven is too early to go to bed, or if I should drink more.
  23. All I needed to know. One sip of that and you’re there for the evening.
  24. Ok, it’s been 9 days since anyone posted in here. I had to search the thread FFS. Anyway. Afternoon session. 9 pints. So excited for the festival.... it’s been three long years(do you still want me). Apologies to the youngsters for the vague Tony Orlando reference. But.....FOUR WEEKS!!!!!
