If we’re going for non Americans, Sia has a new album out next year. Given her stated commitment to not touring again, getting her on the farm for a one off would be a bit of a coup. But I failed to get a ticket so am still very miserable.

For what it’s worth, here’s my advice/tips which I share with my group. Happy for folks to respond with amendments which could improve it, and really happy if it helps anyone else! Prior to starting, make sure you have everything ready. Clear your browser cache, make sure there are batteries in keyboards/mice, charge your phone/IPad/Laptop, been to the loo - all basic stuff. Minimise any possible distractions - unplug phone, switch off telly, etc Initially, You’ll probably get a holding page, saying the site is busy, but hit F5 on Windows, Cmd-R on Mac rather than wait the 20 seconds. However - don’t be so manic with the refresh that you refresh past the page when/if you get through! There’s a throttle limit of 60 attempts per minute anyway, if you try more frequently, it’ll lock you out as it suspects you are a computer bot and not a person. Slow and steady wins the race here. If you get through to next page, take a deep breath, type swiftly and accurately - you’ll have 6 minutes to enter the Registration numbers and postcodes, then the details on the payment page. Lead booker will be whoever card you are paying with. Keep trying, they usually sell out in under 25 minutes. It’s very stressful (well for me anyway). You may wish to have the Reg numbers, postcodes and card payments number in a spreadsheet in a separate window and cut/paste if you think this is quicker. Don’t panic. (Although I will). I can’t remember the exact sequence of the pages, but it’s fairly self explanatory if we’re lucky enough to get this far. I usually toggle between two different browsers on my Mac - Safari and Firefox, my phone (on 4G) and my IPad all trying at the same time. The more devices, from multiple IP addresses the better. We only need to be lucky once. Very, very important - keep trying, even after the sold out comes up, if you still have the holding page. I have twice got tickets after they claimed to be sold out on twitter. Please don’t try to communicate with each other via EMail.Text or Whats App until it’s over. There’s nothing more frustrating than being distracted by an “OMG, this is a nightmare” text when you’re on the flippin payment page. The only contact I want to hear during the process is YIPPEEE! I’ve got them!!! Couple of other things....if you hang on the registration or payment pages, DO NOT refresh. Use the back button. Also, on the final page I think, there’s a box asking if you want to purchase a water bottle, don’t do this. One year it caused problems during payment, and if you want a bottle you can get one on the farm. There’s also one or two of the accept terms and conditions, and perhaps a pledge to leave no trace on the farm which do need ticked. Good luck!

I’m in full agreement here. I saw her in the then John Peel in 2017, and she was, in my humble opinion, a bang average 10 a penny pop act. Granted, that was over 6 years ago, and her career has been on an upward trajectory since, but in terms of her having the songs or show to headline the Pyramid, I can’t see it. All that said though, I’m not against the festival giving up and coming artists their shot at it, especially if the other two are older/proven/legacy types. Still don’t think she’ll headline.

I’ve never listened to anything on Spotify. I therefore feel somewhat disenfranchised from this discussion. Furthermore, if this thread is to be believed, any future Glastonbury Pyramid headliners will never be selected (or considered) taking my music tastes into account. It’s all about the yoof.

I’m still not believing it’s Dua. Without wishing to reignite a done to death debate, I can’t get round Emily/the reporters two female first timers comment. Dua May very well play, but I see her as a sub. To my mind, Pink & Rihanna are the most likely.

I’ll be trying on 5th. If they’re mucking about trying to restore registrations from a backup database, who’s to say they won’t forget to change the go live date on the page. You never know....!

They were absolutely fantastic at Barras last night.

How about Peter Gabriel AND Sting? They’ve toured together before.

I’m probably one of those of a certain age point (60) and I do struggle with the camping, but I’ve no intention of bowing out just yet.

I was fortunate enough to catch a 4 song sound check around 10:30am. Bit of an unexpected bonus.

Just being there.

Particularly mashed punter asked me for a light. I lit my zippo lighter, and handed it to him. Having used it to light up, he proceeded to gaze at the flame with a look of complete bemusement. “How does it go out?” I take the zippo, and close the lid. ”what are you, a wizard or something?”

They were astonishing. My fave so far by quite a margin. Unbelievably good.

@Pinhead @Neil @Skip997 so really..... when do you think you’ll call it a day? I only ever intended to go to one festival (2015). But now can’t see me not trying for tickets for years to come. So... if it’s not to delicate a question, what age are you? When do you think, it just becomes too much of a physical ordeal? ( @Neil aware of your situation through this forum, and recognise things may be different for you) but really, when do you call it a day? I’m 60 this year, and every year, I think it’s my last, but every ticket day I can’t stop myself. The trip to and from is horrible for me, being in Scotland. I think if I lived closer, I’d have longer. I’m now resigned to pushing it as long as I can, but have no idea how long that is.

The C in NFR NFC always, in my head, stood for Coldplay. But funnily enough, I love Coldplay. Anyway, the finger is always a good thing. The festival can never get enough of the finger. That is all. I’ve been out tonight to see The Silencers, so I’m very tired. Goodnight. Love you all, and will see you on the farm. IN 5 DAYS!!!
