worthy warrior

I just got the newsletter from Glastonbury and never clicked through before now, but it's all from http://zaphod.uk.vvhp.net/

I wanted to sign up to be a Worthy Warrior (http://zaphod.uk.vvhp.net/vvreg/5391-453682.html) but since this isn't a Glastonbury site, nor is it secure, I thought I'd search the official site for a link - and couldn't find anything. Is this legit? I'm happy to sign up but don't really want to give my details away to a spammer if I've been had!

Oh I didn't think of that, I just signed up! I am planning on taking a big roll of bin bags with me anyway to hand out when needed in an effort to reduce the litter, and I always take parazone wipes to give the toilets a little freshen up if needed before my young daughter uses them. If we all cleaned up just a bit, it would make such a big difference wouldn't it X

Whats a worthy warrior? cant see any description of what the role is

It says in the email:  We're looking for committed volunteers to help spread the Love The Farm, Leave No Trace message. Working alongside the campsite stewards, we are asking you to help hand out recycling and bin bags in your campsite and to encourage other people to keep their area clean and take their belongings home.

According to the email:

LOVE THE FARM? BECOME A WORTHY WARRIOR

WARRIORS.png

We're looking for committed volunteers to help spread the Love The Farm, Leave No Trace message. Working alongside the campsite stewards, we are asking you to help hand out recycling and bin bags in your campsite and to encourage other people to keep their area clean and take their belongings home. If you have a ticket for this year's Festival and you'd like to be a Worthy Warrior, please register here and we’ll be in touch!

And while we’re on the subject of loving the farm, PLEASE remember that our big campaign this year is to discourage everyone from peeing on the land. It really could threaten the future of the Festival.

Thanks for posting this, I've now signed up and keen to play a part, seems a good initiative to me, if we are to really to buy into  'Love the farm, Leave no trace' we need to do something different to make it happen.
