I guess it might work like the Official NFL fantasy league, where your team is put against another team each week in a match. The one who gets the most points wins and league table is based on win/loses.

I actually quite like it, as it means if you forgot a few weeks here and there you are not completely out the picture

That's sounds pretty good actually, you could have a good week but still get no points (or vice versa) depending on how your opposition does.

Yup. It's a league based on wins/losses rather than cumulative points tally. It's quite different.
