russycarps
because it's Robbie, or just the sentiment that people would go to see acts they wouldn't normally pay for?
abdoujaparov
He's got the tunes that would have even the most miserable bastard singing along too on a wet afternoon. I'd love it.
Gregcharlie
He's much better than a lot of crap that has been on the Pyramid Stage in recent years and other acts that are being suggested for the future. Would watch him every day for the rest of my life if it meant Mumford and Sons were to never grace the Pyramid stage
Ted Dansons Wig
Still a fat dancer from Stoke. Wouldnt pay to see him. Wouldnt watch him at Glastonbury. Wouldnt piss on him if he was on fire.

Gregcharlie
christ alive, I think mumford & sons are appalling but they've got a lot more about them than fat arse robbie williams
Ted Dansons Wig
At least Robbie/media reporting on him don't dress him up to be something that he isn't. He's from Stoke, which makes him 1 million times better than those twats straight away
Gregcharlie
So you're saying that the fact he's from Stoke is a good thing then?

mrtourette
Where are Mumford from, and is there really a place that can be a million times worse than Stoke?

lucyginger
Oh, the crowd went mental when he came on. When he was still doing his solo slot 20 minutes later everyone was hoping that Angels would be the next song so the band they'd actually paid to see would come back. At 30-40 minutes he massively overstayed his welcome.
russycarps
I couldnt beleive he did that much solo stuff on the TT tour. We paid for TT, not a Robbie show! Grr. Etc. I'm in the 'I probably would see him if he played Glasto' camp. I think. He's good for a singalong, you know the songs, and he can be fun. But he is a bit of a twat and used TT to get back to being famous again. Anyhoo, Take That would be excellent at glasto. Robbie would be good. But not as good as Take That. I'm rambling now.... sorry!
Morse Code
this post is a hoax right? a glastonbury goer calling for take that and robbie williams? someone shoot me now, please.
Ted Dansons Wig
I reckon they could sub for Radiohead, although obviously Radiohead would have to work around the Take That stage set up.....
mrtourette
Take That are much bigger than Radiohead, they wouldn't play below them...
Yoghurt on a Stick
I wouldn't go to see Robbie Williams play if he were at Glasto. I'd much rather use the time ambling around the green fields. Or anywhere else for that matter.
Bobs
I can't believe the genuine comparisons to Robbie Williams, Mumford Olly Murs etccc... Mumford and Sons are quite dire, if they offered something a little different from the actual decent songs, then maybe they'd be different, but how can a band stay so popular for producing near identical songs, going to see them in Manchester in December, i'd like to surprised, doubt I will be. Robbie Williams, was popular, so i guess it's a little bit of a nostalgia moment for those who were big fans in the 90's, Love Him Hate Him, he isn't quite the same as Olly Murs is he? Olly Murs just churns out what the record company tell him! However, unless it was cleared up, I seem to recall Robbie Williams calling Glastonbury 'a shithole', so yeah, if that wasn't retracted, i guess, i hold some animosity towards him. But i would see him. However, take that, i'd love them to play, never headline, but certainly give them a 10+ set either early on on Pyramid or middown, i personally think opening Pyramid would be great, however much they are unpopular.
