I don’t really follow the logic that somebody who has twelve sold-out shows at Wembley stadium is suddenly not a prime shout for a Glastonbury headliner.

In the tradition of getting excited about lineups that don’t materialise, I’m going with Madonna (who I think is a real possibility), Harry Styles (offsetting Madge’s fee), and Robyn. I’d prefer the latter to be Oasis but I don’t see it - too old an act alongside a heritage booking.

Is Dave in headliner territory? I enjoy his music but he’s never seemed to have the on-stage energy to pull off a headline set, IMHO. If he was given a chance it would feel like a charitable Stormzy style step-up. Harry Oasis Madonna

They must have found a spare couple of mill down the back of a sofa. Madge is in the all-timer tier, for me at least. I'd pretty much given up hope.

It’s a fine line. Sure it’s up to people to look after themselves, but knowing so many don’t, does the festival have a responsibility to regulate best behaviour in the midst of potentially fatal heat?

What is “hard data”? There’s only experience to go on. Of course that’s anecdotal, but everywhere I went, most were struggling. Busy areas remaining busy isn’t evidence people were doing fine - many would have suffered just to be part of it.

In recent years, anything from mid-twenties up has seen people clambering for shade and struggling. There are always people who do fine in higher temperatures but that’s not the story of most people.

As bad as 2016 if not worse. I’d consider abandoning Wednesday and Thursday altogether and taking a hit on the camping availability. Bullet dodged.

Don’t forget, some people think that only they get to enjoy it as it should be, in spite of the people funding their experience who are somehow inherently less appreciative because they don’t go far back enough. Absolutely BS gate keeping from killjoy stuck-in-the-muds. But as they’re quick to tell you, they are the true authority 🙄😂
