Anyone else absolutely loving what the recession has done to video game prices at the moment?

Went into town yesterday and picked up Fallout 3 for £20, just done some browsing around and have no seen the following PS3 games for £20 in the past few days:

Fallout 3

Resistance 2

Motorstorm 2

Saints Row 2

Pre Evo 09 (£25)

Mortal Kombat vs DC

Prince of PErsia (£25)

LittleBigPlanet

Sonic Unleashed

I swear I'm going to end up buying more games then I can play :).

Ah you don't HAVE to pay for anything...so i don't really think it needs complaints.

You can get items and clothes by beating the arcade machines. It will probably be better when they add some things. I like the sound of some of the stuff they want to add. The gate in Home Square apparently will lead to a monorail station...so it could get really big.

veteran was do-able on cod2 and cod4, never really tried it too much on 3, but it appeared do-able. I really cant see the dodgy team mate AI making it possible. obviously people will do it, but there was too much frustration on hardened for me to put up with those dumb c**ts stealing your cover.

My bargainous purchase of Lego Batman has proved to be wise - it's ace. Not exactly a surprise, because it's exactly the same as the other Lego games, but good god it's funny!!

As for COD: WaW - the veteran mode is bloody stupid - I can't see me finishing many missions that way. I really wish they'd have some achievements for the multiplayer because I am kicking some serious rear at the moment - finally reached level 65 which means FLAMETHROWER. In a compact map, it's great. Totally useless on the larger maps but the feeling of pure sadism on a map such as Asylum cannot be beaten.

Prestige looms this week........

its not that so much, more that if you jump into cover that they were scripted to take, they can push you out of the way - and into the line of fire. very annoying.

just found this on the metclub website

Metallica . . . Guitar Hero . . . It's Official! [ 12/14/2008 ] [ back ]

Yes, we know, it's the worst kept secret in rock-n-roll but we're here now to finally confirm that there will indeed be an all-Metallica Guitar Hero game released in the first half (!?) of 2009. Guitar Hero Metallica allows you to play as us in either single instrument or band career game modes in your choice of some famous settings (Tushino Airfield anyone?) or new venues with in the round staging. Included are 28 Metallica songs along with a few from some of our buddies like as Alice in Chains, the Foo Fighters, Slayer, Machine Head and Queen. There is also an all new Expert+ difficulty setting featuring two bass drum kick pedals (!!!) along with all the gameplay modes from Guitar Hero World Tour.

Over the next few months, we're going to be updating you with track listings, more features, of course how and when you can get the game, and some cool previews of the game right here on the site. As you've heard us say before, keep checking back for more details!
