I'm watching Raw.

I'm not joking. The show has started with Randy Orton saying how he's going to bear John Cena at Summerslam and Cena coming out to confront him.

BORING.

I think i've got Smackdown on the Sky+ box. I've already watched that, should I watch it again?

Oh f**king hell. Cena is talking. While he's talking, lets see. Summerslam 2007, Unforgiven 2007, No Way Out 2008. So this is the fourth time we've seen this match headlining a show. This doesnt include the Triple Threat matches at Wrestlemania 24 and Night of the Champions, the Fatal Four Way matches at Backlash 2007 and 2008.

This is a horrible promo from Cena.

If memory serves me correctly, Steve Austins main PPV opponent was The Undertaker. Austin faced the Undertaker 8 times on PPV (Cold Day in Hell 97, Summerslam 98, Unforgiven 98- triple threat with Kane- Rock Bottom 98, Over the Edge 99, Fully Loaded 99, Backlash 2001-tag match for all the belts, no buys- Judgement Day 2001, and Backlash 2002).

Chris Jericho comes out to save the show. Gets a huge pop. Bet he turns on the crowd. Hah! Chris Jericho called himself a Wrestler!

Anyway, the point is, Austin and Undertaker were at least entertaining in their feuds. And when it got tiresome, it was dropped. And those matches were over a 4 year period, with both playing face and heel. Orton v Cena has been done to death over two years, with no change in the face heel dynamic. It sucks. I've seen it a hundred times. And dont get me started on Hunter v Orton, which I'm pretty sure will headline the Hell in the Cell show.

Apparently, Triple H has gone to Texas in search of Shawn Michaels. Surely that shouldnt be too hard? This has the potential be be TNA-rrific.

Christ. A divas match. Smart and Sexy apparently.

They've just put up a trivia question on. I have to go to wwe.com and VOTE. If the majority of people vote that Sgt. Slaughter beat Hulk Hogan to win the WWF title, does this mean that the history books will be changed?

Gail Kim is the fittest diva. Fact.

This match is horrible.

Kelly Kelly is horrible. hah! Beth Phoenix just had to call Alicia Fox over to do the spot.

Here's comes Sgt. Slaughter as tonights "celebrity" guest host. This should actually be entertaining. You know, with him being a wrestler. This is in Calgary. Shame they couldnt get Bret Hart to do it.

YES! Slaughter is going to be a heel! YES YES YES YES YES. This is the best promo ever. "You Maggots!"

Shawns a Chef

This was a wretched, wretched segment.

Here comes Sarge. More Anti Canadian stuff. This actually isnt funny anymore. They have Jillian Hall out there singing. Why? I dont know. Whats the point of this? Again, I dont know. This was also a wretched, wretched segment.

Sarge is the guest host. All he has done is anti Canadian stuff. When Dibiase was doing this, he made sure he got over talent and programs. And by god did he do a good job. Sarge isnt Dibiase by any stretch, but for f**ks sake use him properly.

Missed the opening segment, which is a good ting by the sounds of it.

However im finding raw quite entertaining so far, heel guest host makes a bit of a difference.

f**k me.

TNA is RAW!

A contract on a pole match!

Eugene v Calgary Kid?

Poor Nick Dinsmore still saddled with the retarded gimmick. He didnt even get a proper entrance. He was in the ring when it came back from commercial. And the Calgary Kid wins. And its the Miz! haha. Thats actually very creative. I'll give them that.

Eugene has been resigned as a trainer i think, so i wasn't expecting him to win.

In another thing wwe has taken from tna recently is, on fcw they had a reverse battle royale.

I was shocked to say the least

That fire extinguisher shouldnt have been there. Contravention of health and safety.

This was another, wretched, wretched segment.

Nick Dinsmore has been signed as a performer and trainer. He'll be back on 'contractually' back on Raw soon enough.I hope he doesnt f**k it up this time.

That Orton v Big Show match could have been worse. Crap finish but wasnt expecting anything else. Should the WWF champ really be made to look like that against anyone two weeks out from main eventing Summerslam? Especially when the other guy is part of a tag match against Cryme Time.

Jericho better go over later. He wont. But he's the most over face on the show and wouldnt do anyone any harm to give him a win. It wont hurt Cena as he's booked as invincible anyway.

Poor MVP having to face Chris Masters.

Where is Sarge?

Lets bury the company again!

Ok, Shawn Showstopping the restaurant manager was quite funny. And Shawn is back.

And Shawn just kicked the little girl in the face. Erm... Ok.

They spent more time on this show putting this little girl over as a heel then they did Randy Orton. 90 minutes into the show we have seen the Guest host 3 times. 4 times now. He's there in his wrestling gear.

Woman in the orange top in the crowd is well fit.

Teased bringing out Bret, and then brought out Jim Duggan. That was amusing. Surely it was obvious that Bret was never coming out? Those Canadians, eh?

Freddie Prinze Jr. is the guest host next week. No Buys.

I suppose this one was inevitable. Why cant we have old wrestlers who know what they are doing? Michael Hayes, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Ricky Steamboat, Jake Roberts, Harley Race, Terry Funk, Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, IRS, Bret Hart, Bob Orton, Honky Tonk Man, Bob Backlund, Jimmy Hart, Paul Bearer, JJ Dillon I could on for ages. Any of these would be better than any celebrity. The only celeb who has been any good has been Shaq, and thats because Shaq is awesome.

My god was Cena atrocious in the match tonight.

Orton gets buried again.

Oh, and here comes Sarge. Going to do something useful for once. Oh, its a tag match for next week. Big Show and Jericho v Orton and Cena. again, NO BUYS. And how come Sarge has the power for next week. I guess he has little faith in Prinze Jr.

This is now the same storyline as Cena v Big Dave from Summerslam last year, only without Adamle brilliance.

A pretty shitty show to be honest. Or, a usual Raw.

As a life long fan of WWE I cant stomach Raw at the minute, the none stop merry go round of HHH, Cena, and Orton in the main events is just stale. The show isnt even written for the fans, all these strange comedy segments are put in solely to please Vince McMahon.

If WWE doesnt start elevating and producing some new, credible main eventers soon they are going to be like where WCW was near the end of its run. We're every match possiblity has been done to death and the current main eventers are starting to become too old.

At least TNA trys to do something new !!!

^ dont' write the whole of the wwe off.... Smackdown is actually really really great these days, with great wrestling matches and some nice and simple (but effective) angles going on. I'd recommend that over Raw any day of the week at the moment.

Just finished watching Raw, it has taken me two days but I've finally got through it. Maybe the worse Raw ever, problem is I seem to be saying that every week. The DX stuff was dreadful. Sarge was quite funny but couldn't save the show. And do we have to do the tag team partners don't like each other angle again. It seems like both WWE and TNA just go to that story line when ever they run out of ideas, sadly that’s nearly every week. The one really good thing from this show was Orton’s brutal RKO on Jericho at the end, wasn't worth sitting through two hours of crap to see.

Luckily a new batch of ROH DVDs arrived this morning so I can start working through them this evening. I've got high hopes for Richards vs. KENTA. Anybody seen it??

on my last day in India i was in a hotel in Delhi, i went out and spent the rest of my rupees on rum and stumbled back late

i had been watching tacky hindi soap operas with overly prolonged close ups all week, but to my surpirse there was something on the sports channel besides cricket....

WRESTLING!

it was great, some bald guy (maybe stone cold) having the shit beat out of him for 20 minutes whilst trying to tap out to his denim shorts clad partner, then he taps, and they kick some serious ass and win

i was seriously screaming at the tv, cant believe that after 15 years of thinking wrestling is stupid i actually end up jumpin on the bed yelling at the tv drunk
