Couldnt sleep last night so watched Raw. This was the worst Raw in a long time. Just brutal. The Chavo v Hornswaggle match was almost as bad at the Jenna v Sharmell classic. A wretched show.

PWInsider has confirmed that Jeff Jarrett and Karen Angle are in fact romantically involved, as was revealed on Bubba The Love Sponge by an anonymous caller. It’s been an oft-mentioned rumor within the company among wrestlers, but it had never really been confirmed.

-- Mutliple sources state that the relationship dates back to last fall, when Jarrett and Kurt Angle were feuding on TV. Kurt may have even been aware it was going on back then.

-- Contradictory to previous reports, sources now say that Jarrett’s time off was his decision, and wasn’t forced upon him by Dixie Carter. The decision was apparently made after recent issues arose between Kurt and Karen regarding the custody of their children. The word going around at the iMPACT tapings was that Jeff removed himself from TNA while the custody issues are ongoing. Until those issues became heated, Jarrett and Angle had been able to co-exist.

-- Regarding stories of Angle’s push for the TNA creative reigns, those within the company feel that it won’t happen and there is no major push for a new creative team right now.

-- There are a number of people in the company who would love to know who it was that called the Bubba The Love Sponge show and aired out the whole situation.

This weeks Raw was awful. I love ZZTop, but their involvement was just cringeworthy. Last week's Raw was much better than it's been for a while, but this weeks dropped staight back down again.

I am however interested to see who Jericho's partner will be at the ppv, logically it should be a face as they're taking on legacy and the crowd need someone to get behind. My money's on Christian, but it could be any number of people.

It should be a decent PPV, with it being all championship matches it means there won't be any guff like Kane VS Khali or the like.

Its just swapped around like crap, honestly how are you meant to build new superstars when their title reigns make them like like a piece of crap, f**ks sake

Just watching Raw now. Got to say, Chris Masters is a lot better in the ring than I remember, I would almost go as far as calling his match with MVP watchable!

Shaq's been pretty rubbish so far. Is calling Chris Jericho "Christina" really what constitutes a chant worthy put down these days, kissing him on the forehead was pretty funny though!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the Smackdown from the start of the split until Wrestlemania 20 was the best TV show WWE ever produced in terms of consistency and actual wrestling.

If Heyman were to come in (which, obviously, I would be in total favour of) then we'd see the back of Russo. With Jarrett seemingly gone, this might not be totally unrealistic. I doubt it will happen, but still...

Its not just who they had, its what they did with it.

First of all, the booking of Brock Lesnar when he was a heel, was PERFECT. In particular, the destruction of Hogan. That alone would have made Brock a draw for years and years and years, until he chose to leave. Its a shame Brock got injured, because the WM19 Main event shouldve been Brock v Angle, with Angle as the face, coming in with a better amateur background than Brock, who would have been the unbeaten monster champion. Its writes itself. And I'm sure that was the plan until Brock got injured.

The whole Benoit/Angle v Edge/Rey Rey v Los Guerreros was the best Tag feud ever. Every week for over six months there were at least *** star matches on Smackdown every week.

The Benoit v Angle feud had some incredible matches.

The introduction of Team Angle was textbook in how to get new wrestlers over. Think about that, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas.

They had a performer in Kurt Angle who would draw IMMENSE heat just from his entrance music.

The elevation of Eddie Guerrero into genuine main event status.

You know, I cant wait for the 10th anniversary of Smackdown DVD. Hopefully loads of great matches from this era (of course, sans Benoit. )

Of course, this would be really hard to replicate today, because its hard to finders wreslters the calibre of Eddie Guererro, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle (circa 2002), and rising stars such as Edge and Rey who actually had experience outside the WWF developmental system, as well as the new policy of (generally, Jack Swagger is the exception) not recruiting people with proper athletic backgrounds. Of course, everyone (apart from WWF Mangement!) knows the main reason CM Punk is successful is because he's worked the independent scene, worked in Japan and knows how to adapt. Thats why he's been over for three years now. He's never just been another guy on the roster. He's CM Punk! It was the same with RVD.

I get the feeling they have the talent there atm but they are either a bit too green or just don't have a character.

For example Kofi Kingston, who imo is a pretty decent talent but has no character apart from the fact he is Jamaican.

Who possibly is meant to give a shit about that, make him mildly interesting at least.

I do think there is a hell of a lot of young talent though;

Miz - Awesome heat magnet, Brilliant on the mic and ever improving in the ring

Morrison - Fantastic worker, needs to work on his mic skills

MVP - Good on mic, decent enough in the ring, needs to be heel imo

Ziggler - great young talent and with character development could be a huge star

Punk - nothing needs to be said you all know he is great

Hart Foundation - need to be kept together and work as a faction once they are finished tagging as opposed to the usual wwe format - split tag team one face one heel after 12-18 months as a team

Zack Ryder - just something about that character that i really like. And like liam said about angle there is something in that entrance music to hate about him.

and most of all Jack Swagger, for me he seems to have a very bright future. Decent Mic skills and very good technically, I just hope they don't mess around with his character and try to turn him face as it just will not work imo.

who could get the push there? IMO they've built up Matt Morgan superbly, They have wasted Jay Lethal of late though
