Loving the wrestling documentaries at the moment. Watched The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior last night. What an arsehole! Serious hatchet job from the WWE too. Seems absolutely everyone hated him.

I did enjoy it, but for the 25th anniversary it didn't quite have the scale it deserved.

Enjoyed that doc but very one sided. People can say what they want about Warrior but the guy was a draw and one of the biggest stars of the late 80's / early 90's. He couldn't wrestle for shit though. Don't think he ever lost clean?

Honestly, I'd prefer for Taker to take a year off, heal up properly, come back next year and beat someone (probably Cena) to make it 20-0, and then retire. There's barely anything left for him to do, or anyone major left for him to beat.

Maybe I don't think as much of last year's match because I haven't been back and watched it with commentary, but live it just seemed like spot - 2 minute rest - spot - 2 minute rest....

Regarding Jake Roberts DVD, I have that, bought it at the time. Very good, love Roberts he was a legendary talking and had great ring pyschology, not the best move list mind. Can you imagine a DDT a finisher these days

Fully agree with this, I think Taker should have taken a year off. Especially since this year's there's Rock/Cena

Besides that, there's a huge rumor that WM next yr will be in Texas, so it would be ideal to retire in front of his home fans

I think that's now dead.WWE tested the water to see what the reaction would be like to them taking Mania to some new super stadium they've built down in Texas but the football team have said they don't want to stage it since.I think that's why HBK did the DX skit at the Smackdown taping there towards the tail end of last year.

The one problem I have with this that he's actually still around, and therefore a huge sense of deja vu to last autumn, when he wasnt the head writer, but then he was again.

Maybe its an angle for the internet?
