Superscally
Interview on XFM right now - When asked if playing - Thom instantly said "No" while Ed ummed and ah'ed, saying they couldn't really say. Thom said what normally happens is ME usually announces they're playing and they go along with it, but "he hasn't really said it this year, so no. Probably not" Ed then said "Are we digging a hole here?" (Positive? Trying to keep it secret or am I just looking for the shred of optimism?) Then they both concurred: "Don't bank on it - don't rely on us playing. No"

dorlomin
Ive always said it is extreamly unlikely given they have to get from Glasgow to Manchester inbetween there the Saturday night. They may still be contemplating it though, or at least Thom is.

William of Walworth
They're leaving the door well open IMO. Plenty of scope there for things to change in favour of RH playing, I'd say. Edited January 4, 2008 by William of Walworth
Alcatraz
Oh well. Let's hope Robert Plant has the goodwill to do the same

iwalker
I do get the impression Radiohead and Coldplay more or less have an open invitation to come and headline.
timespeedsup
Confirmations for the likes of Radiohead and Led Zep only after ticket day please....... (ie let Radiohead wind us up as much as they like, just don't go confirming until after 6/4/08)

Superscally
blimey... I think the point was that it doesn't say anything. So it's not really more than anyone knows, as it says nothing. It's not a dig at you... ('shut it' indeed ....charming!)

Superscally
That's what I thought when I read it, but then I really hoping they play. Anyone heard any rumours about the Chili's playing? I heard last year they offered to do it for free but were turned down 'cos it was too late. surely that means they'll be a contender for this year, especially if he wants more kiddies going! Bradders
That's a pretty interesting suggestion actually - I've not heard it mentioned, but they can't do V or Leeds/Reading so soon surely and IoW's already sewn up. IF they did want to and they didn't want megabucks - who knows?
Superscally
They're not fit to headline Glastonbury after their performance at Reading and Leeds.
oafc0000
Yeah I wouldn't welcome it - never seen em play well live, which s bizarre as they're almost like a supergroup talent wise...
Sparticus
They werent good at V Fest in 2006....I have only heard radiohead "fans" speak highly of that performance....I was stood there saying to my friends "they are off key" which they where... Metal Monkey
Think the main problem with the Chili's is that Anthony Kliedis can't sing. I would like to see them again though, the rest of the band are really good imo.
