Good, well if you don't mind head over to the thread on that festival and spread your joy about their event, there are people going to Bella this year who have noted others upset on the line up but have heard enough.

There's enough to keep me happy for now. Jefferson Starship, Idlewild, Waterboys, Novelle Vague, Edwyn Collins and The Caged Elephants.

Still LOADS of bands and acts to come thou, hopefuly some good ones..

Hasn't this thread got a little out of hand??? Its an internet forum where ALL people are allowed to voice their opinions - good or bad.

To those people that are happy about the line up, I hope you have a wonderful time but please remember that everyone is entitled to an opinion, however tiresome that may be

To those who aren't best pleased about the line up, remember that there are people who think its good and are also entitled to their opinion

Enough of the bickering and share the lurrrve people

I consider myself to be very open minded, I understand that what makes the world an interesting place is that different people like different things, it would all end up a little dull otherwise. Healthy debate is good but I am sorry to say that I just don't think that happens on here. Please note this is no personal attack on you or any other individual. I feel like I did when I changed schools, people already have their friends and it takes a bit of time and effort to find out which group you belong to.

Anyway I digress, this thread is about Belladrum and one thing is for sure it has people hooked, whatever the opinions. I will continue to tell everyone I know that it is a real gem, because, well because it is.

Very quiet on here today !

I have listened to the various acts on myspace and I'm up to 3 bands to see.

Idlewild

Cage The Elephant

Attic Lights

And maybe Justin Currie if he does ant Del stuff

Now that's me trying to be positive

I'm going to see Attic Lights in May, Their single never get sick of the sea is a great tune, so hopefully they will have a few more like it up their sleeve and be good live. I also seen the Wallbirds supporting someone not that long ago, think it was maybe the pigeon detectives or one night only, but remember thinking they were really good live.

I remember the last couple of years not having a clue who most of the bands were on the initial line-up announcement, but after checking them all out and giving them a chance (using the very handy links on the bella myspace) and the gradual addition of acts which i'm sure will include something for everyone, i remember by the actual weekend of the festival that i had a fair few bands i really wanted to see, and even some clashes!

And as for headliners, i have to admit, like a lot of folk on here, i am a bit dissapointed with the choices, i always think a headliner should have a good few 'hit singles' under their belts, that love them or hate them, the majority of a festival crowd know them. And neither SFG or The Waterboys have 'hitS' (with a capital S!). Saying that, last year, the magic numbers bore me to tears so when they were on i was jumping about in a tent that had a random dj knocking out indie classics, and although i was looking forward to a greatest hits set from James, i got carried away with the crazy atmosphere at the pigeons headlining in one of the tents so only caught the encore of James, so i know for a fact i can have a great time at belladrum regardless of headliners!

Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
