You are the one who thinks SFG are the strongest headliner they have had.. one album with two singles which didn't even make the top 5... come on ;)

Despite not liking The Proclaimers or Echo & the Bunnymen, you can't surely think they are not more deserving or a stronger headliner....

Even the Saturday headliners are alot more deserving of a spot over the past few years.. Alabama 3, Embrace and James than SFG will ever be!!

As my mother would say if you have not got anything positive to say don't say anything at all, although judging by your recent comments you would not have an awful lot to say at all lol.

But seriously did you ahve any meaning ful suggestions for a headline that would fit into the belladrum ethos

Sorry I did not make my point well, i was referring to friday night headliners, and certainly having seen echo and the bunnymen's disrespectectful, disorganised and in general poor performance (absolutely more deserving, but did not live up to anywhere near the potential), as for the bees and magic number, quite simply bland. Scouting for girls is something different and is a step away from the previous selections.

Oh and I quite like being right lol

Shame you ain't this time then eh :O

Your initial comment was 'strongest' Friday headliner, just how do you define strong?

Surely it should be on stature, number of hits, albums sold etc... not on being something different and if you really think SFG are different then you surely need a new pair of ears!

And since SFG haven't even been announced... never mind played.. you can't possibly be going on their 'strong' performance ;)

Mmmm, surely not SFG as headliner, that would be awful! Recent headliners at least had a bit of history, not like these upstarts.

Off the Amazon list I could definetely see The Waterboys as a possibility.

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
