What the show didnt mention was the pair of them got to have a go in the Veyron as well (after some badgering) and almost missed the Premiere of Knight & Day cos they were genuinely having too much fun at the studios and on the track.

I for one enjoyed seeing such big names on the show, why is it an issue? They are car loving human beings as much as the next celeb...and demonstrated suitably somewhat methinks! Probably quite a cool thing for the audience to arrive to instead of Nick Robinson (as good a political correspondent as he is!)

Really enjoyed last nights - except maybe the 911 piece. I really couldn't care less about the new slightly improved, but basically the same model. Porsche are the motoring equivalent of Apple in some ways.

Gotta wonder whether something has happened to the track (or whether it really was absolutely perfect conditions) looking at those laptimes though!

It must be on its last legs after tonight's poor India Special? It was almost like a Carry On film, but without the laughs, and very predictable.

I haven't watched telly for about 9 months ( but my New Years resolution is to go back to watching some of it). The last time I saw Top Gear I thought it was on it's last legs then. I'm surprised it's still going. What more twaddle can they come up with to flog the dead horse? Please tell me that the viewing figures for it have dropped to embarrassing levels.

It is totally removed from the original re-boot format now.

It's funny that BBC 2 went for 2 "men traveling" programmes in a row tonight with the 3 Men series doing top of New England to New York (on water). Whilst the latter has had 7 of these small series now, and is considerably more tame than Top Gear, it doesn't rely on the same gags that these Top Gear specials have been churning out for years now. Ya know, let's fuck up each others cars, give each other annoyingly oversized gifts, create scripted "awkward" moments, have normal sentences turned into dirty jokes etc. etc.

The fact the script is becoming more and more obvious is really annoying me. One of the few specials I've actually enjoyed was the Bolivia one because it actually featured moments when they were clearly out of their comfort zone and all 3, somehow appeared to be genuine human beings.

its lost the novelty, but people still watch it because its Top gear. its also probably the reason Clarkson is causing controversy just so that people keep tuning in. they really need to work on the image as well, its not as if they are getting any younger and to keep trying to make it childish is probably putting people off as well.

revamp the show or drop it from the schedule in my opinion because it is just becoming an embarrassment - sort of like when shows like big brother lost their novelty but kept going for the sake of it.

Nothing really about India last night either. Whats the point in going there?
