How about if this was a Bizkit headline set? They played a 90min, 21 song set on their 2023 tour and all of the songs above are songs they’ve played multiple times since 2023.

Book Denzel Curry for the Main Stage on Bizkit’s day and he can come out and do N 2 Gether Now.

Really good interview here with Oli Sykes. Basically confirms they’re going away after next June’s festival(s), that the Nex Gen director’s cut could drop next year or not at all, and that new stuff is already being written.

They’ll headline Download the year they’re back surely, maybe 2027 or 2028

2027 would make a lot of sense. 4 years since last headlining is good amount of time to pass and makes sense with their timeline if they’re taking a bit of time off. Someone said though they’ve been booked for Nova Rock?

With how well BMTH at DL 23 was received, I would strike whilst the iron is hot. Twice in four years and prior to that, hadn't played for a decade, can't see the issue!

Yeah they’re at Nova Rock same weekend as Download next year. They’ve done just about every big EU June festival going between 2023-26.

I get strike whilst the match is hot however given they played Reading and Leeds come next year it won’t be as hot for a lot of people. I’ve seen the Next Gen show 3 years in a row and whilst it’s a great show and always had a great time i wouldn’t have an issue if they were 2027 instead give them a chance to develop something new. If they could booked for Download next year I won’t complain as one of my favourite bands, just think waiting a year might be better to give them a bit of a break from UK audience to make it more special if that makes sense.

Right well if it’s same weekend guess that could put them in with a shot of playing DL as they’re obviously active. Only thing would be days to travel and transport set etc.

BMTH need to go away for a few years and come back with a completely new show. It’s a great show they have no but it’s the same thing very time; I’ve seen in 3-4 times over the last few years and it’s always the same songs. DL2028 to kick off the new era would be cool.

BMTH are a law unto themselves. They could go for three years or drop PH part three 12 hours before release like they did with Nex Gen.

As much as I want them to keep releasing stuff they do need a break to come back fresh. Come back in 2027 with arenas and DL 2028. They need a full new live show and five new songs in the setlist. Also thought Oli looked shattered at Reading on iPlayer and at Leeds but that could’ve been the kids!

Die4U doesn’t need to make a return. I like the song but I understand why people don’t like it.

MANTRA needs to go away too. Such a boring, overplayed song.

Agreed on both, I like house of wolves near the start but that needed to go too.

Empire on the last tour was a breath of fresh air.

Nah, MANTRA will live forever by dint of nothing else from amo having currency.

Die4U conversely should make a return given that it's a damn sight better - to me - than most of the Nex Gen songs they've been trotting out this summer. Kool-Aid and Amen! are pretty by numbers, whereas Die4U has hooks for days, plus a sugar-rush to it that makes it crack the whip live.

Agreed, problem is with them already being announced for Nova Rock doesn’t look like they’ll take much time off. I thought I read Oli in an interview said after Reading and Leeds they’re taking time away, unless he meant they aren’t doing shows until next summer festival season again.

I’ve always wished they had recorded a proper version of the cover they did of iann Dior’s ‘Mood’ in the Live Lounge a few years ago. Absolute banger of a song made even better by the band.

There’s songs on Nex Gen they just haven’t played that would have gone down great live, songs like Top 10 Statues, Limousine, Bullet With My Name On.

I'm not hugely sure why they dropped Top 10 of all the songs when they were kind of finessing the set over the early 2024 festival run. It just didn't survive to South America, despite being a single.

Would argue BMTH's biggest drawback live is their song selection. Of course, one man's chalk is another man's cheddar and so forth, but think they've botched it a bit in recent times.

I agree. I guess they’re at that point now, though, that so many bands get to where they have so many massive songs, they feel like they always have to play them. Which is a shame because all of the albums they draw heavily from have far better songs than the ones they always choose to play.

They played Top 10 Statues on their EU festival run last summer. I caught it at Rock for People and if I recall, it did indeed go down great live.

Still think them doing a uk tour at start of 2026 is why they won’t headline DL.

Yeah, it does feel too close but plenty of festivals they haven’t done so could easily do the same run Korn did this year. Sold out the tour with ease too so not doubting the demand for them.

    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
