I agree with incident on Cliff but that's a bette guess.

Turns out my post wasn't absolute rubbish was it.

Given 99% of your post are absolute rubbish in both this thread and the Download thread, I'll grant you one rare exception to the norm.

Muse are a weird one. Are they still a stadium band? (Not that not being a stadium band anymore is necessarily a blocker to their chances.)

The news that Emily Eavis dropped that she's locking in a 2028! headliner right now is kind of bonkers. Got to assume that's a major star coming up the ranks - would even be tempted to suggest it's Charli XCX, which is definitely hedging some serious bets on staying power.

Based on nothing more than wishful thinking, I'm going to assume it's a already major name as they tend to be the ones planning schedules that far out.

More than that, I'm going to assume it's Taylor Swift, because I want it to be.

Muse aren't as big as they were but they're still a very big band. Probably a smaller band as far as Glastonbury headliners go but still no reason they couldn't do it.

The 2028 headliner is far more likely to be a major artist who's got a proven track record over a number of years and 3 years isn't a long time in their career. You're Lady Gaga's, Adele's and Foo Fighter's of the worlds. It's also not that bonkers as all the major festivals tend to book a few years in advance.

Maybe it just feels ridiculous because our brains still think of 2028 as a far away distant year, even though it'll be here in two and a half years.

I don't think it'll be Muse. I think they're happy just to do their own thing now.

At least my posts are coherent, frankly yours read like the ramblings of a lunatic.

Taylor Swift was booked for 2020 and we all know as soon as she's available to do it they'll book her. It's a holy grail booking for Glastonbury. Muse haven't done it for a long time so it's getting close to their turn - especially as they've just started a new album cycle. Oasis / Taylor Swift / Muse seems the most likely option to me.

Doesn't matter how coherent they are when the actual content included is rubbish, ramblings and poor posting. So we'll done and a pat onto the back for posting coherent but useless posts.

The irony of you of all people calling my posts useless. Seriously, find something better to do with your time.

Shouldn't you also find something better to do with your time....but why here we are.

Both lorde and capaldi have got to be likely to sub in 2027 or headline second. Capaldi would have to sub

You’d think they’d offer Lorde Other headliner next time given she subbed Kendrick in 22. Maybe counter-programming against a legacy/rock headliner in the vein of Neil Young v Charli.

My mate reckons Lorde is a Pyramid headliner on the return. Inclined to say she's an Other topper, but a lot depends if she potentially takes next summer's touring cycle and snags the R+L show as part of it for me.

I'm inclined to side with both of you

Given Lana Del Rey went from Other headline to playing stadiums, predicting what acts are going to do or not feels like a fool's errand.

Fun to guess though.

I would agree Lorde headlining Pyramid depends on whether the new album spawns a new mega-hit

Part of the joy. (Please, do not let it be LDR.)

I think Lorde, with a bigger production, could do justice. Needs a few more band members to fill the sound out.

It won't be Biffy Clyro, sadly, by the crowd they've got here.

I don't think Biffy should really headline any big UK festival again, they are clearly at sub point now. They didnt do their setlist justice either. But if they can only bring in that side crowd at somewhere like Glastonbury then their drop off is telling. I actually like their new single more than much of the last 3 albums lol.

I don't Lorde is headlining but if she gets placed on sub again then the chances are that's where she peaks.

Talking of something else, an article got ran that Emily has booked a 2028 headline already. If so, thays got to be Gaga or Swift. It wont be Oasis obviously and at this point I can't think of anyone else that would demand such an early booking.

Could conceivably be Fender. He's likely to finish the cycle next year, drop album number four in late 2027 or 2028.

If he wants to he could wrap up the stadiums, have 2026 off and come back in 2027. I feel he's rushed it a bit this time with a new album, an arena tour that came out of nowhere a bit then Stadiums. I'm still going Fender, one of the female options big enough, probably Sabrina or Chappell and Oasis. Avoiding Sabrina anyway though, it'll be full of the same kinda Olivia crowd. When I saw her. They loved Sabrina too, the 9 year old there new every word to her songs. It's mad as if I had a 9 year old she would never attend a Sabrina concert as her antics on stage are too out there.
