You could use the tram, get off at University or West Street then a short walk, or most buses go through town. Try the First bus app to get a more precise hit for your location. They go from Penistone Road and Hillsborough barracks at the back. You're likely to get a better hit rate on Penistone road.

More general info on service changes here - including services affected by road closures

Ah perfect thank you, I was trying to make sense of the travel info but I couldn’t quite get it so this is great cheers, it’s good to know Penistone road is probably the best bet coming back as I wasn’t sure which way to go

Not a great year for me, but I think just about enough to see to get me through the weekend.

Only one major clash and that's Red Rum Club (one of my absolute favourites and seen many times), or The Last Dinner Party (never seen but like their album enough). Will probably decide on the day, but feel like Red Rum will win, just because I know that's going to be a very stong hour of songs I love.

I had the same dilemma very briefly.  Seen RRC about 20 times and will be making it 21 on Sunday.  Facts its an hour long set makes it like a proper gig (well, nearly).

Yeah, this has got to be my 10th or 11th time seeing them, and seeing them in Foudnry later in the year, but I just know they're gonna perk up a last day hungover me aha!

Is there a guide to Tramlines fringe at all?  Unexpectedly might be able to go now on Saturday but don't have time to trawl through every band/venue!

I like psych and postpunk if anyone has any recomendations

Looks like there's a Reddit for discussions on what's what too

Massively recommend Bruise Control headlining Yellow Arch on Saturday. They're incredible fun live. Very surprised they're not playing Rising at Green Man this year as they've had a lot of hype!

We're gonna leave Hillsborough Park, early to catch them.

Cheers - just tipped my lad off about these.  Sound like his bag.

Wonder if we might get a special guest? Seems like a big slot.

I’m wondering about special guests too, anyone have any intel? They posted Wunderhorse on their Instagram story the other day but that may have just been the Truck Festival admin by accident 🤣

Not known Tramlines have late addition special guests.

They had McFly listed as The Scottish Flys but everyone had sussed that well in advance.

So, is there anywhere they can/will throw on the Euros Final? It would be great to catch at least the first half before LDP.

I know it's a music festival and not their problem, but it is frustrating that there's no re-entry if they decide against it.

Can't say it would add to my day one jot.  If its on the main stage screen will ensue I go and watch a band in the Leadmill tent.

If you're starting from the city centre, it's on a big screen outside The Crucible theatre

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
