0% chance Twenty One Pilots are coming (even though I said the same thing for Rocky, but still..)

funfact, their support act is coming, Balu Brigada. if you like Twenty One Pilots you'll might like this one too, bit more poppy, bit more boring, but the same genre, could be an alright set to watch.

In 2019, 21P were all over the place. I think they came to Europe in 3 separate occasions. Currently they have no summer dates. And even though they come to Europe in the spring, based on 2019 it’s not impossible.

Also their support band is here.

Also Sziget liked a comment about wanting to see 21P.

Also we are still severly lacking sreious undercards.

I would say this could happen.

But they said that's the complete list of headliners. 😞 They definitely won't be subs.

Wdym they were subs in 2019. (Don’t come at me about co-headlining because it’s basically the sme as subbing) Armin van Buuren is sub…

What do you think is more likely from Sziget, having them as a sub, or at the same spot but as a co-headliner? I think they would put them into a co-headliner spot, which is why they are not coming, there will be no more headliners. They're at least as big as ASAP Rocky.

There at the level of a mid sized headliner. They headline festivals, but if a festivals have a big head liner they will sub.

Examples from sziget 2019 backs that up. More so there summer festival tour of 2022 where they subbed werchter, mad cool and headlined opener.

Is there anyone they would sub at Sziget? Don't see it myself.

They would headline, Sziget post covid doesn't have depth of lineup to have them as sub in 2025.

When you look at the number of acts announced on each day so far compared to last years completed lineup, we have about half of the undercard to come. The issue is I don’t see why they’d wait to announce a significant number of well known acts. I suspect it’ll be mostly small names going forward but hope I’m proven wrong

We don’t know yet. It’s not the same owners this time around. KKR could invest significantly. I’m not saying they will or have but it was a massive aquisition so they could pump some money to get attraction.

Look at the “subs” so far. If we even have two per day at a level of where Boris, Justice, Armin, Papa Roach and Nelly are, we are missing so many relatively big names still.

Not saying 21P defo one of them but I’m hopeful regardless. This line up can be massive if we get the level of the 7th in terms of star power.

I think we will probably get three or four mid-sized names and then lots more smaller names.

Who the mid-sized names will be is anyone's guess.

Judging by the line-up so far (with the exception of Papa Roach) I'd say it unlikely we are going to get 'adult' acts like Snow Patrol and Vampire Weekend etc.

I’m thinking they might actually have a bigger second stage, and some of these names are headlining that. And so we might have a stage announcement with many of those strong names coming to that stage.

My guess is Armin and Justice headlining that stage but we are missing the other 4.

This makes sense to me because I can’t picture Armin either as a sub or party arena, and I also can’t see Justice fitting in the Revolute tent.

Exactly. I think the Party Arena part will change, maybe they get a bigger tent, or some kind of a bigger spot. Like a mini Balaton Sound within the festival itself. Maybe they will also have a separate stage for rock/"live music" artists that's going to be headlined by Papa Roach etc, because having them before Charli would be weird (although Billy Talent supported Pink so nothing's impossible)

Bigger stage? Certainly not an open air one, with the stipulations on finishing times.

Whilst your angle of thought would be fantastic, I just don't see it personally. I think people are perhaps getting a bit side tracked by the changes angle.

They could/should be picking up acts that are doing Oya/WOW. Especially as Sziget runs on dates, that are not traditional for festivals(fri-sun).

They’ve just posted on instagram that Co Lee is playing the revolut stage on the 7th August. Guess we still don’t know if the revolut stage will continue in its current format though

So far it looks like the current format (Main Stage, Revolut, Party Arena, Colosseum...) stays and they just got rid of Global Village.

It would exactly make sense because of the curfew.

Because there are DJs that are too big for party arena but too small for headliner spot for the main stage. So it makes sense to have these dj-s closing out another stage at the same time. So they can also have a proper headlining slot.

Imagine while Shawn Mendes is putting people to sleep at the main stage Justice is ripping up the balaton sound stage where party arena used to be.

Probably won’t happen but it would be great.

Headliners are much stronger than last 2 years. Anyway, anyone saw I hate models lately? I have a chance to see them next week still not decided.

Saw I Hate Models twice in Copenhagen (once in a club and then on Distortion) and it was absolute f*cking madness both times. One of the best hard techno acts I experienced. The energy was next level, can't wait to see him again on Sziget!

in my opinion the quality of a festival should be measured also by the quality of the names rather than just how many hits they have on Spotify. For example: last year Louis Tomlinson and Halsey were really disappointing as live acts, and the crowd was kinda bored imo. And Halsey has got a huge number of listenings on Spotify. She was also at her First headline spot, as She stated. On the contrary smaller acts like Fontaines DC smashed It. I think that this year the quality of live acts Is better. I'd rather have Wet Leg than Kings Of Leon for example ahaha.

Fair point, and I agree.

Problem is, we haven't got Wet Leg OR King's of Leon!

Well, @Sziget2025_Leaks has just revisited as he liked my comment about his visit being fleeting a few pages back. Is there anything you can tell us @Sziget2025_Leaks?

For example:

- are we going to get a Wet Leg, Vampire Weekend, Prodigy etc type announcement or is that it now for known names?

- are there subs missing or are you not working that way this year?

- when are announcements re: staging coming? Same question related to night-time changes?

- how are ticket sales going?

    • Aldous Harding absolutely brilliant in Dublin last night. Quirky as ever but sounded magnificent. Played everything off the new album I think, it all sounded fantastic. Band, including H Hawkline, were understated but excellent. Another one to look forward to.
    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
