Live Nation today received authorization to purchase Portuguese promoter Ritmos & Blues. (Rhythms & Blues has no festivals in Portugal)

Live Nation also today had authorization to purchase the company Arena Atlântico, Arena Atlântico owns our largest arena (MEO Arena)

Luís Montez Owner of the Arena Alantico Company is the same owner of the Super Bock Super Rock Festival and it is known that at this moment Luis Montez left the Super Bock Super Rock Festival and it is not yet known who the new promoter is... it will be the Live Nation?

On this subject, everything indicates that it will be Rhythms and Blues, recently acquired by Live Nation.

I hope not, I saw it this year at Primavera Porto and didn't think it was anything special.

She was terrible and from what I heard, it wasn't just a bad night.

I love her studio work, but since Justice was canceled, I left after the first couple of songs, to catch an early bus and rest.

The Black Keys were on the NOS Alive 2023 line up, so maybe too soon for a return.

Silent Alarm is one of my favorite albums.

No it's not official yet.

Unless a promoteur or the band announce it,  it is not official.

You have numerous outlets here from credible news websites to tv channels announcing it. They have done the same last year when coldplay was announced. The date leaked several days before the official announcement, hell we knew it would be 4 shows before the official announcement

Only one outlet say it is official .  THat is Nit   (the same that said that Arcade Fire played the Funeral in full at Nos Alive when they didn't)

The others  are giving the news  citing NIT

Unless any promoteur (Everything is New, Last Tour or House Of Fun or other)  announce it,  or the band.  it is still not official
I don't say the tour won't happen,  but  it is still just rumours and nothing official

And Nit (the source of the news is Portugal) is not the most reliable one, about music

    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
    • Temperature was the main issue - luke warm at best
