whats the approx cost for a campervan pitch and ticket(s)  - I'm already paranoid about not getting a ticket for next year 😄

This year for us it would have been 3900 for two tickets with van pitch. Other people may know someone who gets cheaper but I have used the same guy for my last 9 Glasto’s. It’s a hospitality ticket and they run a mini bus to the circus field from Windenlake every 15 mins from 10am - 4am. I like the quieter camp site, gives me time to get the old bones ready for another dance.

Yet that's how the likes of Macca and Elton probably got there.

Can you really not see a difference between a legendary headliner and the likes of holly willoughby or cara delevigne?!

Just out of interest, how much is the cheapest accomodation at Windinglake? And when do they go on sale??

I get mine directly from the landowners but they also sell packages out. They run a ‘returning customers first’ rule and then you join a waitlist. We have been there 6 times and paid 2.5k each for the accom & EPO/hospitality tickets for a package of 2. I had a caravan!

That’s why I use the same guy, he knows the owners and guarantees us tickets so it enables 10 of us mid 40’s to go without to much stress or hassle. Similar prices then ours were £2k with our own van

Yes, its expensive but worth it! And it’s a nice place!

Also there isn’t really a ‘sale’ date- they contact you & offer you. But you could contact them and ask to join the wait list!

I have already had the call to ask how many for next year and what we wanted. Like I say it’s not direct with the owners but a guy who has dealt tickets for them for years. He asked me Tuesday how many

Little did I know when I started this topic that we would end up with several pages discussing the efficacy of allowing or not helicopter travel and then finding out that some of these off-site camping places cost £k's and £k's of pounds - quote "£38000 for a winnibego" - and DO include the ability to BUY TICKETS.

Guess I feel even more piss-frustrated to have it confirmed that the rich can buy their way into Glasto unlike us plebs who have to negotiate ticket sale day

😡😡😡

Honestly, I am not rich. I just happened to be given this contact about 10 years ago.

Well, I guess it's still going to be F5-ing for me then 🙂

tried to carefully step over/around a group of young-ish guys in the pit before Arctic Monkeys started (would've been loads of room if people had stood up). one dick head grabbed my leg as I did so, causing me to fall into someone else. not confrontational at all but shouted at him to "stand the f**k up" after that as I was pissed off with selfish dickheads causing issues.

you're at the biggest stage at the biggest festival in the world, just before the headline act is about to start. how is it acceptable to sit down in a group at the front, and then moan and physically grab/ potentially injure someone/people if they dare to try get past you.

I am far from rich, we have a savings club that we put money into each month. Lots of my mates go on the piss 3 times a month. I don’t, I save some money each month and this pays for glasto. Fortunate to know someone who can get me tickets I guess but not rich in any stretch

Yup same. There are a lot of rich people on the site- a lot of famous people stay there but there’s also a lot of normal people! The tickets come from the festival- it’s how they make some of their money I imagine.

Yup, we stayed there this year as I have had a contact there for years. Prices have gone up considerably & there are a lot more people there too.

High end Winnebago there 38k for the weekend! (I was in the cheapest accom!!)  - I only go when it’s the last resort for a ticket. It’s a bit far removed from the original ethos though and having been in the 90’s, I miss that vibe!

Does some of the money from those ridiculous hospitality tickets go to charity?

Otherwise I can't see why Glastonbury allow it?

How much is it for the cheapest option including a ticket?

No idea. The festival had a large hospitality area - they sell a lot of tickets for it. Whether that is seperate to the main sale money, I have no idea. But the festival sets the prices and the numbers.

Are there any "extras" on site for hospitality tickets? Can you get into crew bars etc?

I would say in the region of 2000 per person with two sharing. So I choose to save that through the year instead of pissing it up the wall in my local boozer every Friday night.

Totally understand that if it's doable for you, just hope it doesn't start to take away from normal ticket sales to increase hospitality sales. Obviously most people can't afford to drop £2k each on a Glastonbury ticket (or spend £170 a month down the boozer)

    • If Werchter pulled in Blink and Foos plus like Sabrina if she's touring and got System if they are I'd be more inclined to try it vs RIP if they got Blink, Foos and System. I don't at the moment, maybe reflection will be different, think that RIP is greatly setup for overseas travelling over. It feels more like currently day festival days with a camping over separate rather than hotel as its included.
    • I think many US people are fed up with the US and have definitely discovered how amazing it is to come to Barcelona for a better experience and way cheaper than back home.   Surely PS doesnt set up a huge commercial festival only to not put in place a system where QR codes can’t be re-used?
    • They'll get Foo Fighters as well.
    • That as a surprise along with The Cure is the best part of the lineup so far.   Probably means though she's about next year again.
    • I also dont think Deftones will tour next year.   But I think RIP will have both Foos and Blink and if SOAD fo festivals that will be your 3.
