  1. We are doing camp bestival this year as well, been doing festivals since i was 17 (now 48) taking our little man (2) to his first festival. We have done the last 10 Glastonbury’s (missed this year to repurpose funds for other things) but already booked at Windenlake for next year. Hoping the little man has a ball a CB.
  2. My years of Glasto have many a failed missions (normally on site though) it’s something to talk about the next morning (who didn’t quite make it to the toilet) haha
  3. Haha, I know right. They don’t hook any of accommodation up. But they have ample shower and toilet blocks on site. So it’s basically a bedroom on wheels.
  4. We stay at Windenlake, two people sharing a basic caravan including VIP wristband and EPO wristband works out to about £4k for both. Very expensive but if you can and want to do it that way it’s a nice way to do Glasto at my age.
  5. Your friend is my new hero 😂😂 putting over time in like that
  6. Regretting me life choices, missed it this year for the first time in the last 10. Decided to repurpose finances this year. Have already booked at Windenlake for next year. I can’t miss another year.
  7. What an incredible write up of your weekend, just wanted to say thanks. Maybe next year I can come on one of your late night adventures. cheers Jamie
  8. I have a toddler as well as a 23 year old. We are taking the little man to camp bestival on a day ticket to see how he goes. He is high energy currently so not sure I could do anymore than a day. If I had hat on I would take it off to you for surviving 5 days with little one in tow. Well done you.
  9. Famous last words, I am normally bowing out most mornings after getting back to Windenlake at 5am 😂😂
  10. I totally appreciate what you are saying, it’s just something we choose to put our money towards. This may change if prices continue to rise. I would say the packages have doubled in the last 5/6 festivals. Creeps up a little each year. The cost is broken down by ticket cost windenlake cost accommodation charge. next year will be my 10th so it may be a good time to bow out
  11. I would say in the region of 2000 per person with two sharing. So I choose to save that through the year instead of pissing it up the wall in my local boozer every Friday night.
  12. I am far from rich, we have a savings club that we put money into each month. Lots of my mates go on the piss 3 times a month. I don’t, I save some money each month and this pays for glasto. Fortunate to know someone who can get me tickets I guess but not rich in any stretch
  13. Weirdly it was only this year we were asked to pay by invoice, all other years we have stayed at Windenlake we have paid cash.
  14. I have already had the call to ask how many for next year and what we wanted. Like I say it’s not direct with the owners but a guy who has dealt tickets for them for years. He asked me Tuesday how many
  15. That’s why I use the same guy, he knows the owners and guarantees us tickets so it enables 10 of us mid 40’s to go without to much stress or hassle. Similar prices then ours were £2k with our own van
  16. This year for us it would have been 3900 for two tickets with van pitch. Other people may know someone who gets cheaper but I have used the same guy for my last 9 Glasto’s. It’s a hospitality ticket and they run a mini bus to the circus field from Windenlake every 15 mins from 10am - 4am. I like the quieter camp site, gives me time to get the old bones ready for another dance.
  17. I know what you mean, but I am 48 now and can’t camp in the chaos for 5 nights. We always bring our van and stay at Windenlake (still massively expensive as you say) but I say never again after every year and book tickets the Monday we get home 😂
  18. They don’t just run Helicopters, they run a full on camp site for the weekend and sell VIP packages. Have a look at Windenlake on Instagram. They sell combined accommodation and tickets as a package. I think they have about 2-3k people there over the weekend. I usually stay there just as it’s a way of getting tickets

Morning All, just a lurker who had a year off this year and is regretting his decision massively. Jamie C stays at Windenlake Farm or he has every year I have been there since 2016. I believe they get tickets through Fly Glastonbury. I am fortunate I have friends who also have access to tickets so I get my tickets at the same place. Anyways Hapoy Festival and stay safe. Jamie (not carragher)
