Going alone

Hi. Really lucky to get glasto tickets but unfortunately my friend has had to drop out for personal reasons so I'll be going alone. Has anyone got any tips for lone female campers? Like where to camp, etc? And other general loner tips would help. It's my first Glasto and if it was any other festival I'd probably drop out too. But that's not an option lol

There is a group on Facebook. I think it is glasto girls or something who also organise a camping spot for single women. And there is a campspot thread run on efestivals for people camping alone. So yes, go and meet new friends! Win win

Glasto Gals and Girlswhatgig are two great FB groups, really friendly and a good way to meet gig or festival buddies.

Also, come along to the efests meet on the Wednesday evening at the Ridge and Furrow. You'll meet loads of lovely people from these parts, some of whom will also be going it alone 😃

ahhhh, so glad this has been made a topic! another solo female right here 🙋‍♀️ Have been before a few times so not too worried about navigating myself around the festival but as balance paying day looms i started to wuss out of going alone and still none of my friends are fussed 😣

Glasto Gals on Facebook is a great group and they organise a meet up. I think there is a splinter solo camper group. I don’t think you will be able to join now though as they’ve just closed membership until the resale is over. Try again after that.

I go on my own every year and really enjoy myself. I have done the group thing but found that I prefer doing the festival on my own, now that my friends have stopped going (and even when they did go I was always off making my own adventures!). Whatever you choose to do, have fun!

Yeah, other people leads to compromise, and stopping to find toilets way more 😅
