Has their been ITV coverage ever?

The beeb have claimed that ITV once covered Glastonbury

I was a big fan of the C4 coverage. That got me seriously hooked but can’t recall ever seeing itv coverage. 
Any idea what year if it’s true?

Sort of - In terms of "proper" coverage, MTV did it in 93, Channel 4 in 94+95, and then it moved to the BBC in 97 after the fallow year.

Prior to that, various broadcasters (definitely the BBC, ITV, C4, and MTV) would send cameras to the festival but seemingly more on an ad-hoc basis - very occasionally the odd set might get recorded, and shown at an obscure time 6 months later packaged into an existing series, but for the most part any music recorded was used as B roll for a news report or a documentary. To the best of my knowledge there wasn't any "best of Glastonbury" type shows prior to the 93 coverage.

There's an element of uncertainty because until the 90s, both the BBC and ITV used to have a much stronger regional focus - so it's possible that there was stuff on HTV West that most of the country never saw.

and BBC West !!!

- in 2014 I was contacted by 

Lee Madan Broadcast Journalist BBC Points West Newsroom, BBC West, Whiteladies Road, Bristol, BS8 2LR

and he wanted to do a ' Live Interview ' on  Friday 27th June 2014 about 6pm
because of how long I have been attending - god knows why they wanted it live as I would have preferred a pre recorded interview so they could edit out all the swear words.

You got Closer - I never got close to the Pyramid - I had arranged a buggy ride down from my Crew area when the radio buzzed - it was to let us know the power was being pulled - BBC called just seconds before all the lights in the crew area was cut - so I just stayed at the bar { lucky we had a fridge truck full of cans } - must have been weird for the Punters if they did not have a clue what was going on.

ITV had reporters there in 1997 but I think that was more due to the mud than the festival itself
