it means the ip address you're using is banned. some ip address ranges have been banned today, it might have been targeted at you, it might not have been.

Why would you try and ban my IP address? I have one account and only ever use my 4G or WiFi. Utterly bizarre. I get there's a load of troll accounts causing you grief but handing bans out to genuine posters is ridiculous.

i'm using the tools i have to block the ip addresses i want to block for good reason. that sometimes means others get caught in that.

I doubt it was targetted at you specifically - (public) 4G IP addresses are shared across large numbers of customers so hitting one person can hit (lots of) others as well.

TBF this happened to me on a train the other day, I thought I'd been banned but wasn't.

I got through much earlier than expected for the coach sale and so was caught out firstly by not having my card with me and then secondly by not having and turning on my UK phone, by the time I got both and asked them to send a passcode through I didn't receive the first one they sent, fortunately when i asked for another code it came through fine and the rest of the process went without a hitch - Halifax bank for me.

I have had lots of times when i have requested an access code for various transactions or access into systems and not received it on my UK phone, so this aspect is a bit of a concern for me, feel a lot better that it worked OK for the coach sale but can't say i'm 100% confident for the next one.

In my case see tickets failed to perform the 3ds check so money went out and straight back in again, I had proof the problem was theirs and not my bank , I emailed andgot a phone call to take deposits for 6 tickets!
