With regard to comments that it was getting a bit crowded, I was also at Cross The Tracks yesterday which was officially sold out, and obviously much busier than Wide Awake. Off course they had all entry lanes open which helped getting in. Big queues for food in between mainstage acts in the evening but that is pretty normal. There were a few pinch points getting around the site but I was able to get decent positions for all stages and the craft beer queues were minimal. Great atmosphere and a really wide range of music covered including jazz fusion, afrobeat and a great set of twisted electronica from Nightmares on Wax to end the day.

Buying cans of water and getting upset about it is quite funny in itself. Water is free from the taps? Bring a bottle or use a cup after you’ve finished a drink? 
 

had a great day - sound was variable but mostly ok. Model actriz, Los Bitchos, O. , Erol, gilla band were my highlights! Also saw clamm and nuha ruby ra early doors who were good.

my own fault but i was way to drunk on all the delicious beer by the end to enjoy dan avery properly! 

on another day i’d have watched a lot more of optimo, erol and seen Warmduscher and viagra boys but you can’t do it all in a day. This lineup was so stacked it was like a 2 day festival in one for me. (Or at a camping fest the DJs would be on late night)

Personal opinion but if you go watch stuff like the current iteration of bcnr, tirzah, alex G, aroooj, these are the kind of acts where anything less than perfect sound & crowd will ruin it. And duly it sounds like they did. (Plus imo all of the above are quite dull but also theyre not my thing)
