He isn't a Prince. Just saying.

Edit. I am wrong but he married a yank so should lose his princeness. The last guy that married a yank lost his throne.

I thought you were questioning who his father is?

Who gives a f**k that he's got more free money paid for by the people

The nice Govt paid me  ( a recipient of pip) a Christmas bonus of a tenner today. 🙂

That's apparently been paid to three million people so it costs the government a lot.

Haven’t got mine. Must be off their Christmas card list.

lol - i know lots of others who got it today. the govt probably do it via BACS and i know from when i used to do a payroll by BACS that the banks don't like too many transfers in a BACS submission.

so it might be split into batches with more to process tonight.

Genuine question, does that feel more like a slap in the face?

the small amount doesn't bother me, i feel i'm doing well on benefits [ not something i expected to be saying 🙂 ]  (but also feel i'm a deserving recipient, not a piss taker).

Oh for sure you’ll be deserving of it. I wondered if the amount could be seen as a mockery as £10 seems pretty low.

It was a tenner I wasn't expecting and I don't want to slag it as it could be a bit of a lifesaver to someone struggling on benefits (which I'm not).

Context is everything, bim not sure what the official reason is for the payment. If its an Xmas bonus its fair enough if it's meant to help with cost of living crisis then its far too low a more substantial amount would cost the Govt billions and the we'd say it should be included in the budget and included with the regular payments.

He's the people's prince.

Is he? I don't have an issue with the Royals but I certainly don't see him as part of that. He is an opportunist which I don't have a problem with. Aren't we all at the end of the day.

He has a very attractive wife who seems to suit him and I don't understand the race thing. Seriously. Maybe I am just a little naive about how we think as a nation.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.
